Thats a good choice. No because Sideswipe was an important character, but Because the Lamborghini Countach was an iconic car. It was the first real Lamborghini, way before the Diablo or any other new school Lamborghinis. This was the car that stole the spotlight from Ferarri. Everybody was used to seeing Ferarris on Magnum PI and Miami Vice, then this car came out and everybody was like "Holy s**t that looks like a car from outer space" !!!

Awesome...

I didn't mean as a repaint, I meant as MP-13, or MP-14 if MP-13 is a Con. They're the original "Autobot Brothers" after all.

Can't accurately describe in words how happy I am about this news. MP Sideswipe is about the biggest dream-come-true for me ever with respect to Transformers. I loved the Countach when I was a kid, and love it still. I am a happy, happy dude today! Sideswipe fans Hollaaaa!

Prowl didn't share a mold with Jazz; Prowl shared a mold with Bluestreak and Smokescreen. Notwithstanding differences in the vehicle styling, the front/top part of Jazz transformed similarly to Prowl's mold; but his legs transformed differently.

I'd be quite happy if this signals the start of a trend toward smaller (and more frequent?) Masterpiece releases. It'd be great to see much of the 1984-85 cast filled in, in scale with MP-10.

Totally digging this. Sideswipe needs to get more love. I mean if freakin' Sky-Byte is a HOF nominee, why can't Sideswipe get a MP?

I don't understand. MP10 is in scale with Rodimus and the Seekers. MP01 is not. Seriously MP Sideswipe needs to be smaller than all the other MP figures.

Before Soundwave, Shockwave, Bumblebee, Prowl, Ratchet or Ironhide, we get Sideswipe?
That's... Sort of random. It's a surprise, but not really a pleasant one.

I hope they find a way to give us a Sunstreaker, it would just seem wrong to display Sideswipe without his twin.

I'm excited- Sideswipe is one of my favorites. Really cool that they decided to go with someone like this instead of another repaint or leader character. Give me Sideswipe, Wheeljack, Jazz, those would be great! Hope they do Soundwave though next- cannot wait for that! And just think... a MP SHOCKWAVE!!!!! :KREMZEEK:

If they stay with autobots and more particularly the cars, we could potentially see as one stated previously Bluestreak/Silverstreak/Prowl not to mention Ratchet/Ironhide and lets not forget Inferno/Grapple/Hauler/Artfire w Nightstick (Personally THIS WOULD BE AWESOME!!!) Jazz/Stepper w/targetmaster (Forget his name).

I'd like to see a masterpiece figure equipped with a mp style targetmaster just to see what TT could pull off. With that being said headmasters and powermasters(god masters) would be nice too.

Now who here would love a masterpiece Fort Max. I'd bet he'd cost roughly around the $800 mark. LOL

I'm very interested if MP-12 comes in at the size and pricepoint of the Alternity figures. Any bigger or pricier than that and it's much iffier; I'd want Autobot cars to scale properly with MP-10 in car mode, and most of the Classics/Henkei releases fill that bill nicely.

OTOH I'd probably jump all over a G1 Masterpiece Jazz/Meister at a larger size....

Kinda hoping it'll be the size of an Alternity, but BT/Alt scale would be OK too.

I dont understand why anyone would think this Masterpiece edition would be anything smaller than "Masterpiece" in size!!
It quite obviously won't be the same size as Alternity/Binaltech, they are too small!
I can see him being around the same height as Grimlock or Hot Rodimus! :-B

This looks great and all, but, I´m kinda worried about his head, it looks too small, and the arms look similar to the universe´s one, I hope it doesn´t have that terrible configuration. :BANG_HEAD:

Like Universe´s, the chest looks huge compared to the head, and honestly, I´ve would´ve loved arms like the ones on the toy, with the doors that way

, but it´s still just a sketch, we´ve yet to see the real deal! But everything else is great, awesome turn of events! From the big and expensive and few characters, this is opening a door for new releases, I´m completely open for Jazz!!!!! :ic$:

The problem I have with this figure is the fact that nobody ASKED for it.
People are happy with it, but that is VERY different to ASKING for it and getting it. People have been asking for Jazz, Soundwave and Galvatron (among others) since MP1. Why on Earth did they choose Sideswipe? I have NEVER seen someone post about how much they want a Sideswipe MP.

I never asked for Sideswipe, but I'll happily take him. Kinda hoping he is in scale with the Hot Rod version of Rodimus, as Hot Rod was also an Autobot Car. I think they are likely going for robot scale parity, though we may need another Megatron for everything to fall in line.
