So I got this figure as a present a couple of years ago from the wife (actually what got me back into..) but just couldn't find any love for it. The colours, the eyes..
Anyways, a couple of days ago i picked it up and I'm not sure why but I ended up picking some warhammer paints and recolouring it, here's what came out;

tyvm,
the battle damage was achieved with a lighter and regular fork. turns out the plastic really is really thick so u can poke at it with the hot fork without fear. after that i drybrushed the bullet holes or whatever dmg with silver (on top of the regular coat that is) and then added nuln oil 'shade' and stirland mud ink 'texture' (both are warhammer paints).

the photos really dig into the detail, most of the bad painting can't be seen with the naked eye. all the same i went back and painted over the legs and inner parts that still showed the original blue of the toy, i suppose i should take some new pics and see if its all good... or not >: :-?

hey, 1st of all ty.
as the the looks, I just used silver and some drybrushing. I've never been good at painting miniatures, but I had tried to new warhammer paints some years ago and the drybrushing and the inks are great at making bad painting look.. a little better.

Does anybody have any homemade solutions for a fixant, I don't want to buy a can, and i can't be bummed to go back to the shop and ask them. Besides I don't want anything glossy, and the paint doesn't seem to be peeling off or anything. I'm assuming the major issues in paint decay are due to friction and sorts?
