I'm not sure what to call it, it's definitely not a spoiler, but my figure didn't come with the little pink "swooshy thing" on the top of her car mode that gives it character. Was that removed in the figure's running change, or did I just get a dud?

I think you got a dud, unfortunately. That piece pops off rather easily, so look around the original packaging or in your home in case it fell off without your notice. Otherwise, try to get an exchange from the store you bought it from. Sorry about your bad luck with this.

I already scoured around. I bought her online and I don't think I'll be able to return her without the packaging. Man, the one time I throw the packaging out promptly...

That part definitely pops off easily, alas. I've almost popped mine off a few times during transformation. I wonder, though, if that was an intentional design choice? I'd rather have it pop off (and I can pop it back on) then have it break off if accidentally stressed.

I am sorry to hear, however, that you either lost yours or yours just never came with one. Won't effect the robot mode, fortunately, but it does alas rather mar the vehicle mode.

Where online did you buy it? If it was some schmoe off of eBay, you're likely out of luck. But if it was a reputable dealer, you could try asking if they would be able to exchange it. Worst case scenario, they say no and you're no worse off. But you could get lucky and they may say yes. Alas, Arcee's rarity does make this more problematic, but still... couldn't hurt to ask!

Yeah, I almost mentioned that she'd getting another run in Japan, myself. But that really depends on how desperate the original poster is to get a "swooshy thing." An Arcee has already been purchased. Is the "swooshy thing" important enough to the original poster to buy a second Arcee, and at import prices, to boot?

I don't know. Possibly it is. (And I'd highly recommend the Takara deco in any case, I love mine!) But realistically, that would be a total investment of about (roughly) $45 or so once you figure in both purchases, just because the first purchase was missing the "swooshy thing." Assuming that the original figure cannot be exchanged or returned, the potential total investment does seem a bit much for a deluxe figure. I was willing to go $30 for Arcee to get the Takara deco, but I wouldn't have gone much past that.

But, of course, the original poster's spending thresholds may be entirely different. So I suppose presenting all possible options is not a bad thing.

You know how OCD we all get if we lose a part. When my stoopid sis in law did some cleaning and threw away my G1 Hound gascan......... it took me 5 years via ebay to get a replacement.

Yeah, it's just not worth paying for an import just to replace a tiny piece like that. I bought it off BBTS, but I doubt they would accept an exchange without the packaging, especially over something so trivial.

Still... you could ask. What is the worst that could happen? They say no. And you're no worse off then, yes?

At this point, I suppose the only other option if you want to replace that part is maybe find someone who could produce a duplicate via 3D printing?

I throw out mine, all the time. I usually only save the packaging on import, third party, or Masterpiece figures.

I think you mean the 'antenna' maybe?

Easy way to get it fixed: Buy another one, put the original one with the missing part in the second one's packaging and return it as defective for missing a part. If you can only exchange then you can resell the second one as MISB after it's exchanged.
