Like I'm sure many of you guys did, I ordered two sets of latest Fansproject Crossfire sets. It seemed like a shame to have such well designed figures in limb mode all the time, so I got a second set to display as individuals. This of course left me with a second of combiner parts. So I decided to try to spruce up my TFCC Nexus Prime. Here are the results so far.

Still haven't figured out anything for the feet yet, but they never were that bad. Anyway I think it's a pretty decent improvement.

Changed the configuration of the left shoulder so it's not so much taller than the right.

Well the greys of the Crossfire set are a bit odd against the reds, it sure beats them combined with the Energon version - good stuff!

Thanks! I had the same thought about the grays, but considering Landquake's turret is mostly gray and the inclusion of silver paint on the rest it really doesn't look too bad. Now if I cold just figure out a way to get one of the Bruticus feet onto Skyfall.

Your creation got me thinking.. what's stopping FP from doing Nexus Prime addons like they did to SG Rodimus! That would be one clear red plastic behemoth...

Yes indeed - i imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to include parts from both sets for Nexus, eg. a foot each from the Bruticus and Superion sets?
Wanted:
Botcon 2010 Scorch
Cybertron Cannonball
25th anniversary Insecticons
Lots of stuff for trade, PM me if interested.

That what I've been thinking/hoping for as well.

I've already tried it and he ends up being very uneven, but some minor tweaks by Fansproject could make it work.

The main issue for fansproject for doing sets for Nexus is twofold.
1) The number of actual Nexus' that are out there with people worried about updating him.
2) Half of the point of the crossfire sets is to provide pieces that are functional in and in all three modes. The pieces that are out there for the Superior and Bruticus sets that are required for a Nexus set would not work without including some pieces needed for vehicles or single bots (like Heatwave needing both of Bruticus' feet pieces) and others that won't fit at all (like the foot piece needed for Skyfall has no secondary usage without Silverbolt/Stormjet)
As much as I think a Nexus set would be nice, I just don't see the set working anywhere near as good as the existing ones.
