Dang, sorry about that. I hope it wasn't too out of your way or anything.
I know how it feels to go looking for a figure and go home disappointed...

No worries, (I snuck out during work so I got paid for the little expedition anyways.)

Hah, nice! I'm not quite that bold, but I often go check the stores on my way home from work. In fact, I'm heading to Metro today. My girlfriend's been wanting Softimus Prime ever since the first pic, and I hear Classics Soundwave is supposed to be out soon.

I have no idea. Have no interest in the helmet whatsoever.

I didn't pick up anything. I was considering picking up the helmet until I pressed the button and it was NOT Peter Cullen.
Ratchet. And I'm not sure if I should pick up Prime or wait for the Robo-Vision Prime. And those Prime heads and Megatron statue are way overpriced, IMO! And no Prime statue?
BTW, is Robo-Vision the leader or voyager size one?

They never had any figures besides the protoforms and first deluxes, but now all that are left are some Scorponoks, some Wreckages, and one single Barricade (I scored the last Bumblebee), not to mention craploads of protoforms which don't seem to be moving. The Softimus Primes and Slumblebees are gone too, all of them.
I checked the LaSalle TRU for some info on Soundwave yesterday as soon as I heard one was found in Calgary. The guy told me that they did just get in a new shipment of Classics, but couldn't say whether or not Soundwave was one of them. He told me to check back - of course - on June 2nd.

June 2nd, eh?
I hope to score a Soundwave on June 3rd at the ToyCon!

So then I ventured over to Broadway to find a full-blown movie display, complete with voyagers, Leader Prime (!), Softimus and Slumblebee (got Softimus for my girlfriend, she was just cuddling on the couch with it a minute ago
But you won't find any Soundwaves, unfortunately.

I'm sure that he'll be seen there; there was a comic convention that I attended a month back where one of the dealers had one, but he was priced at about $85. I'm worried we'll see the same...

Oh man, I hope we can find him at a reasonable price...
And speaking of reasonable prices, I just got the new TRU flyer, and here's what it says:
From June 2 to June 8, Deluxe Transformers figures will cost only $12.97 instead of $14.99. Hey, a toonie's a toonie.

kirbenvost wrote:Interesting. Movie only, or the rest of them as well? This would be a good chance to finish off Cybertron and Classics.
It doesn't specify. The picture is of movie Bumblebee and the logo is the movie logo, but there is no text explicitly stating only movie toys. Besides, it's in their bet interest to sell off the non-movie stuff.
