I've recently been in a more comics and DVDs centered collecting mode, as opposed to exclusively toys. Only TPB or hardcovers, if possible, though. I've got Infiltration, Stormbringer, Escalation, Devastation, Spotlight 1&2, BW The Gathering & the Ascending, Megatron Origin, TF Classic(Marvel G1) #1, Generations #1, G.I. Joe vs The Transformers(Hardcover), and New Avengers vs Transformers.

I never thought much of the War Within series. Mainly because it was not G1. But after watching a review on the Fallen, I thought I'd give it a chance. But after shopping online at all my favourite spots, I find that it's either out of stock or extreamely expensive. I've seen the TPBs go for as much as $250 to even $1000! I know it's popular, but come on! That's absurd! Apparently there's 3 volumes. I hope IDW reprints them again; either seperately or as 1 hardcover. 'Cause damb I dont care if it's the best TF story ever, that's way too much.

I bought both of mine on Booksamillion.com last year, and with my military discount they were under $20 each, I believe. They are pretty nice books. I'll see if they are still available.

Edit: they are special orders so they can't guarantee you'll get them, but they are 17.99 and 13.98 respectively.

I do not know where you are doing your shopping for WW comics, but I got both TPBs from my local comic book store for $13 each. Plus, I got the single issues of Volume 3 for $4 each. In terms of Volume 3, I believe that it is incomplete

IDW says they won't do reprints because of "Legal issues" so the old copies go up in price

Then again, aside from new works IDW puts out, they haven't visibly put much into the transformers license. Always seem to have (bad) excuses.

They pulled the same thing in their new trades of the old marvel series, saying they couldn't reprint any issues featuring marvel owned characters because marvel wouldn't let them. Funny thing is, they'd be the only people marvel had EVER not been able to make a deal with on this, assuming they even tried.

Frankly between the Titan trades having them, and the planned reprint of WW issue 2 with the Target exclusive comic pack, I don't know that I believe they even made the effort, especially when you factor in their comments about crossover comics being "Too much work"

Umm.... IDW DID reprint the trade paperbacks for War Within Vols 1 & 2. No legal issues there. WW Vol 3 was never finished, therefore will never see reprint in trade.

You should be able to find them for £10 (about $20) or less! Look harder!

I too have seen the TPBs of War Within going for obscene amounts (Shame on you Amazon!).....As much as I love that unfinished masterpiece, I will not pay that kind of jack for those books! I know they are out there MUCH cheaper...so I continue my search!

They stopped Distribution of them basically right after. Read IDW's forum. They claim legal hassles.

Yea, especially given that IDW shows no interest in pursuing a solution. LIke I said, its the same with their marvel reprints, no evidence they even made an EFFORT ot get the rights to use the large chunk of issues with characters like circuit breaker.
