Last halloween I was a big hit in my neighborhood. I dressed up as G1 soundwave and it was a huge success. People took pictures with me and I made small children cry!!! This year I decided to bump it up a notch, not only will the costume and set be more detailed, but I decided to blog it to share with my fellow seibertronians! Your feedback is greatly wanted and I hope you will share some of your ideas.

I started out with the chest. It was a box I made to fit around me with a "door" in the back that could open and close with the power of velcro!!! Here are some pics

I built an Optimus costume with similar methods and materials a few years ago, If you have any questions let me know, because I likely had the same problems and might be able to help you out!

EDIT: Well, since you already made a G1 Soundwave, you probably have a good idea what you're doing lol.

Your "cardboard undies" actually unfold this time? Haha, they oughta be a little easier to slip into than the previous pair... Anyway, (as weird as this seems to say) they look great. Let me know if you need a hand or any supplies. I have a bunch of crap in my closet that might be useful.
(Oh, and for all you other seibertronians reading this, I would suggest that you DON'T ask for pictures of him wearing this piece of the costume yet...)

I remember for Halloween '07 and '08 I went as Optimus Prime and Starscream, respectively. Starscream was a bit more successful. Prime however.... meh. The shoulders on him were crap, and I couldn't put his smoke pipe-thingies on his shoulders, and his legs... don't get me started with them. And his hips were bigger than his torso. -shudder- Starscream was... meh, but better than Prime's meh. The only thing I had to improvise on him is that his null-rays had to be glued to his forearms instead of the shoulders. I still have 'Screamer's head somewhere around my house, and Prime's on display in my room. If you guys want me to, I could take a few pics (not wearing it however; I'm a big boy now :lol:

) of it. He even has a Matrix (non-removable)!

The problem with dressing up as a Transformer is that you have to look out for Brian Michael Bendis because the man is obsessed with getting "favors" at cons from people in TF costumes under the table. :SICK:

I'm not kidding, just read his letters pages in Powers. :shock:
