Myspace and Myself and you too.

Got a great pic of G1 Op or BW Megs? Whether it's 2-D or 3-D it's welcome as is any other form of art outside the custom figure world.

Myspace and Myself and you too.

Oh by the way I'm interested in doing work for other people at a very fair price. I am also going to post some of my personal drawings on here soon.

Obviously, That is why I stated that I will be posting pics of my own design soon. And if you want to get technical only a pecentage of the pic needs to be changed inorder to avoid copyright laws anyway, but I don't plan on going around charging people just to recolor pics I just did that for fun for myself. And as for the myspace stuff I would just like some credibility for the design the jazz contact table and the prime ext. network banner were all from scratch.

How much of someone else's work can I use without getting permission?
Under the fair use doctrine of the U.S. copyright statute, it is permissible to use limited portions of a work including quotes, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and scholarly reports. There are no legal rules permitting the use of a specific number of words, a certain number of musical notes, or percentage of a work. Whether a particular use qualifies as fair use depends on all the circumstances. See FL 102, Fair Use, and Circular 21, Reproductions of Copyrighted Works by Educators and Librarians.

And as for the hasbro thing I will say this again The pictures are of my OWN PERSONAL Character I did that pic in a matter of seconds after I created my avatar. I'm trying to establish that I'm a designer I have plenty of other works I've created from scratch, I simply chose some stuff I've done FOR MYSELF because of the relevance to transformers. I will again be posting some of them as soon as my stupid scanner is working.

Your stuff it fine. Thats not the issue.

Selling others gets you into legal trouble. If they can't arrest you for it, they slap you with a cease and desist order. Even altering it with a photo editing program. Hasbro has better lawyers then you do. You can't change some colors and call it yours.

Most of the extended rules for copyrighting are to give lee way to teachers, critics etc who will be using the work in some relevant way but NOT and this is important NOT directly gaining material benifit (i.e. being paid) for it. So u can of course recolour anything u want for personal use (as u have) or to give to others for fun (like u are) but if u try to sell it, or pass it off as ur own legally (in an accessed paper, or a marketed product) then u ARE breaking the law.

Just wanted to make that real clear, it seemed that a few people were getting muddled and misunderstanding each other.

Anywho, i look forward to seeing ur work.

Oh and hi

Thanks as stated before I agree I never offered to "repaint" copyrighted images for gain. I will however do from scratch all other kinds of designs ie: logos, simple character design, web images, myspace codes, etc... Now on to some of my early Transformer concepts for a fanfic idea I had. Before anyone jumps the gun on the phone and camera char. I designed them long before the movie around the time Armada had first started. These are pencil roughs I had done not planning to sell or really even show. They were just a referance for me. The shockrider char. I photoshoped the background earlier tonight. Please enjoy I don't mind "constructive criticism" but remember these are a kinda old and I have improved some since then.

Here's some more. As you can see I don't finish alot of these and I don't have very high quality pens for coloring usually using gelpens, colored pencils, or markers.

Those are pretty nice, although I am afraid to say that unless you have drasticly improved I cant see anyone paying to commission you-sorry. If you look at some of teh older threads u can see why. Lots of people do requests for each other around here for free!, even i would-

Although hay while your around checkout some of my stuff

Have you attempted to repaint a Cyscrolus yet?

If I see an extra screamer anyway, I think I might. I like the color scheme.

I have a few things I was going to paint. But I just havn't got the time yet. I wanted to do a classics screamer or rodimus. I will post a bio on Cycrolus here pretty soon. I really have just been a watcher rather than taking part in forums and games. But I will probably start being more active.
