which molds get which names?

best guess

Zoomout is Viewfinder

Photon is Spyglass

Wiretap is Spectro

is that what you came up with as well?

I think that's right.

A lot of times, individual names of Transformers slip away from me. Actually, that reminds me of my dating habits in college...Mary, Noel, Samantha...damned if I could keep any of it straight.

According to Hasbro, they've no plans to make a G1 Arcee. (Thank you ImpossibleToys for making the impossible, possible! :D)

So, with the hinting that they'd be releasing a new Arcee and Kup, and we now know that this Arcee can only be the WFC version...where does that leave Kup? He's not in WFC, so what version will we get?

And, if we don't get a new Kup, does anyone have any suggestions as to who I can use in his place?

Wasn't there a repaint of the old coot racer Scout Class figure from Cybertron? (I can't remember his name, honestly.) I've heard a few people used him as Kup.

And I'm not interested in the Botcon figure from last year. Aside from the head, blech.

It'd be nice to get a more Classics-ish Arcee. Although I kinda want both valkerie and whatever Hasbro gives us. Just ... because.

Kup? Right now I have Botcon Kup and, even though he's kinda young looking, I do buy him as Kup. Maybe he got botox, he works for me.

I also have Breakdown GTS and ... he does not work for me. The colors are spot-on, but he just doesn't look like Kup. What's worse is that he's tiny. You don't nessesarily want Kup to be tall, but Breakdown really is very small. Although, if you have no real attachment to Kup he'd work in a pinch.

Before I got the Botcon set I was thinking of just using G1 Kup. He's supposed to be an old geezer anyway.

Kup is one of the few guys left that needs a classics figure. I kinda hope the rumors are true on the guy coming out.

I will be eventually using Impossible Toys Arcee in my G1 collection. I don't think Hasbro will EVER do a G1 Arcee. I do think that they will do a Classics Arcee though. For now, I actually really do like Animated Arcee and her place with that group. Honestly, it feels like Rodimus is the one who is out of place. I like Arcee's swords and her reference to IDW's Arcee interpretation.

In regards to Kupp, he's is really one of these figures who never looks quite right in pictures, but is just wonderful in hand. On several instances of people coming to see my collection I have pointed this out and had it agreed with. No, BotCon Kupp isn't perfect, but he is quite nice for what he is.

I plan on getting Brakedown GTS to be Cybertron Kup, and Botcon to be Classics. If Hasbro does a Classics version... well, I'd normally put the Botcon in with Cybertron, but that would screw the whole plan. I guess Brakedown GTS can be...Kup Jr? #-o

Valkyrie is will probably be Classics until Hasbro does their own, then it will become G1. However, Animated stays with Animated in my collection.

I was thinking of Skram with the red limbs aspect.

(I might use Generations Blurr for Boss since after seeing him I really prefer Animated Blurr. Generations Blurr is really bulky by comparison.)

BTW, where was your dealer table at the convention? I kept looking at name badges but didn't notice your screen name.

Thanks CP, and of course, all the contributors, this is helping me think of my collection, and how I might want to deal with new figures on display, or not on display...

I am inspired to now go start re-organizing not only my thinking, but my room.

I also think this idea might need to be front-paged at some point soon. It's been completed, so there are pictures for the different Neo-sets now, and it is just discussion, which is great!

Me love the ideas going on here. :APPLAUSE: :x

My screen name wasnt on my badge, I dont remember seeing you either, I did run into Mkall and Ryan though. I was at the huge 5 booth G1 table with all the computrons, bald with a red beard.

Any ideas for Megazarak outside of a dead universe display, I am thinking of selling him, but if I could find a place for him in my neo G1 or neo G2 display I would keep him

any ideas are appreciated.

A couple of ideas as I go through my collection room.

TRU exclusive Wingsaber repaint - Crossblades?

TFCC Astrotrain - G1 Skystalker, and it never transforms to robot mode... ever.

How well does he size up with everyone?
Also, in the 84-86 lineup, there's a repaint of classics Prowl, who's he gonna be?
I was able to figure out everyone in that lineup but him(which is cool since I've only seen a few G1 episodes)...

true true, he isnt really a recognized G1 guy, but I threw Energon Snowcat into my Neo G1 display as well...

I might put meantime in as well, he really is the diamond of that series and I want to display him somewhere.
