Why not? Everyone else does these daysThe art of making a quality trailer that teases awesome things without giving everything away is a lost art form.
I'd rather look optimistically at what we've got so far and be a bit disappointed if it's not up to snuff than to poo-poo it just for confirmation bias.
If the trailer was absolute bunk, I'd be worried. But it's not, so I'm not. I hope it raises the profile, even if just a little bit. There are two other seasons to either improve or get worse, too.
Then again, we did get only the single arm of a Titan coming out of the ground at the end of Combiner Wars, who then showed his whole self later but proceeded to get his butt kicked by an even newer Titan in Titans Return.o.supreme wrote:That newest trailer...1:39-1:41 THE CLAW! --- OK, it just got real now!--I've gone from skeptically hopeful to legitimately excited about something in Transformers animation for the first time in seven years. Do NOT disappoint me Netflix/Hasbro/Rooster Teeth. DO--NOT--DISAPPOINT--ME.

Good grief, it's high enough as it is.

Uh, no. It's standard look was definitely "Bright, colorful, expressive-looking faces with nice big eyes full of emotion"AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Yes, but '03 Titans used that look for comedic emphasis, not as an animation standard.

And that first pic matches exactly with the description that I originally wrote. Who are you to dictate to me what my own description is in regards to?AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Uh, no. Uh, yes. You're also talking at cross purposes here.
There is a difference between a stylised aesthetic and 'chibi'.

Chibified, when used for emphasis

Sabrblade wrote:So, what I'm getting from this thread is that...
Bright, colorful, expressive-looking faces with nice big eyes full of emotion = "kiddy"
Bland, drab, generic-looking faces with tiny squinty eyes full of no emotion = "mature"
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:To me,
Bright, colorful, expressive-looking faces with nice big eyes full of emotion = "chibi" ala Teen Titans Go! Thundercats Roar! etc
Sabrblade wrote:"Chibi" is "big head with small bodies". The description I wrote applies just as much to the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon that people loved and resent Go! for replacing.
