It's a pity these guys are exclusives, otherwise I might be interested.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...

Sky-Byte yes, Gnaw no.
I'm surprised how well the mold works for Sky-Byte.

Surprises me it's taken this long for Sharkticon to be repainted as Sharkticon to be honest...

What's going on with the arms in these pictures? I like the way their placed on the energon version. I hope I can get Gnaw, the way I was able to get Elita-1 and Razorclaw last year. Although I'd hoped the G1 based deco would have been...I dunno if I should say lighter or brighter...or maybe that it turned out more organic than what I would have hoped...anyway, I'd still buy this guy from the TFCC after botcon if it's possible.
Edit:
Me too, a little bit. I'm more surprised (as well as disappointed) that it ended up being a botcon exclusive though. While I'm grateful it was done at all... a botcon exclusive? Really?

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

Yesshhhh, yeesssh! Ima happy. You likey too?

Actually knew about these and yes folks, Sharkticon WILL be the troop building set. If I recall last year, the Sweeps went for $55 for all three, so I thiink this will be close to that. I'm actually surprised, but I really love how the Sharkticons look and well, I might try and grab a 2nd set this year. Shoulda done that with the sweeps last year and I kinda regret that I didn't while they were cheaper.

I guess I like them, but I can't quite figure out what they are trying to do with the alt mode.
Are they trying to make it look more animal-like? Are they just mistransformed.
Are they somehow trying to mimic the Sharkticon arms or something in the alt mode of this?
Hmmm...alt mode does not fit too well for Sharkticons, but the robot mode does. Skybyte should be in the 'regular transformation' as it is pretty shark-like.
I think the alt mode needs some big eyes painted in it for the Sharkticons...

I don't like them very much...
Am I the only one who thinks they might be fake? They don't have G2 style symbols and they're not Universe molds like all the others.

If you read the brochure, it said Predacon Sky-Byte, meaning the shark from RiD. The box set is the only thing that ties into the main theme, the souvenirs occasionally don't, Alpha Trion and 2009 Razorclaw for their years for example.
And Sky-Byte couldn't be any happier. Finally some recognition for the poor shark

It is the 10th anniversary of Robots in Disguise. Hell, Beast Wars had a in store reissue series for its 10th so RiD's getting the shaft!
Alpha Trion was 2007, Elita-1 was 2009. Just being picky

I remember Sky-Byte (and the RiD cartoon in general) vaguely. I missed most of the episodes due to work. It needs a DVD Boxset NOW! If it doesn't skyrocket in price, I'll pick him up but the Sharkticons come first! Not interested in the G2 set at all. More for you guys!

EDIT: Guys, if Hasbro screws up altmode transformations for there official pictures what makes you think that a factory worker who stole them to sell on the internet is going to do it right? They're OBVIOUSLY miss transformed!

I'm loving Gnaw and I've been wanting a repaint of that mold as this or anything decent since....forever. Or Energon, whatever. Not real keen on the Sky-Byte head but he's decent enough. I actually hoped he'd keep the original head sculpt. So, Clench and the Sharkticons are looking to be my favorites revealed so far.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way about Sky-Bytes head. Not hating it, but I thought it would look a lil better. But the Sharkticons!! That's gonna be awesome. They look better then I could have imagined, aaaaand I'm glad they kept the original head mold for this repaint. Fits better IMO.

really like the Sharkticon(s). A lot! $60 or so for 3? I'd buy them if I was there.
Sky-Byte, not so much, although it is a good update for the character, the head in particular, I preferred his BW:TM2 colours.

I'm sure he found them over at the Allspark first since I was actually searching through TaoBao for Botcon figures and found them, then posted it on the front page of the Allspark a good half an hour before this topic was made.

Any way, these figures look great.

I don't know... Gnaw looks good, and G2-ish (but not in-G character-good, just in place of the other molds), but Skybyte looks out of place with the bright purple-blue colours of other figures, and that he is the same mold as a troopbuilder cheapens it. He should have a bigger mold - Energon Mirage perhaps?
