Considering the Botcon '95 Nightracer toy was a repaint of the most recent G2 Bumblebee, I guess it kind of makes sense that they repainted Classics Wheelie into the sort-of-Nightracer. Yes, I know Botcon 2003 Shadow striker was technically a different Femcon, but still...

Of course, if you think about it in any context other than mold recycling, young male Autobots maturing into hot Female Decepticons is one of the most horrifying trends ever, beyond all the other gender changes. How did that song in Pulp Fiction go again?

I love how they sneak the Classic Legends Molds into the movie line.

Good to see these guys up. Will we be seeing the Target Exclusive 5 Pack(with Sparkcrusher and Swerve) and the K-Mart 4 Pack(with the awesome Blades and Spinister) anytime soon?

To me, there are a lot of similarities between the two Shadow Strikers. They both transform into sporty black cars, both have black heads with gold faces and red eyes. I display both of mine together, and consider the small Shadow Striker a Legends version of my Botcon one, internal coloring differences aside.

Also, the fact that they re-used the name of a somewhat obscure Transformer, and had the name represent a female Decepticon, AGAIN, seems to lend a little weight to my personal theory that they're meant to be the same character.

I agree with this, hence why ROTF Shadow Striker's related gallery is BotCon Shadow Striker on Seibertron.com (at the bottom of most galleries, you can see the related galleries for each figure).

what's all this Shadow Striker/Nightracer business? i look at that toy and all i see is a remake of G1 runamuck!!

are these relatively new releases or have i jsut missed seeing them in the stores?

There were pegsitters at Target about a year ago.

I never did see that(and you mean RunaBOUT), at all. Maybe it's cause it's technicaly a female bot, but besides being red and black, it's just not there:

Everything is just so rounded, and the robot mode does not evoke the G1 figure at all, epspcially in the face. I do get a Batmobile vibe though(it's the yellow "eyes" in vehicle mode).

If you want a good stand in for Runabout in Legends size though, how bout ROTF Sidways?

His actual figure is a little darker in person, and the robot mode just looks so much more menacing.

He goes well with ROTF Runmuck too:

Also, yeah I guess it's supposed to be Breakdown's colors, but it's close enough and as I said, they work well together.
