Does anyone know when this will appear on mass retail websites? When G2 Superion was released, it was within a couple of days that he showed up on Amazon, Target, BBTS, TFSource, etc. It seems like there's no release date for him, Victorion, G2 Bruticus, etc.

Me too. It would bring a sense of completeness and closure to the G2 combiners that we never got back in the 90's. Even though of all the color schemes, G2 Defensor had the fugliest of them all, but you can bet I would still purchase it

Same problem. I drilled the holes a little bigger on Blackjack and used an exacto knife to trim the pegs on Menasor's chest. I got it right on G2 Menasor but screwed it up on the regular Menasor so I had to buy another Blackjack (which was on sale at Amazon for $6.50 or something like that).

I love in hand comparison pictures because you get to see the real differences without any bias or Photoshop. My personal breakdown of who is best would be Takara prime, Hasbro prowl, either iron hide since I like the Hasbro combiner peg color but the painted fists on Takara so it's a toss up, Hasbro Sunstreaker seeing them side by side I see that I don't care for the yellow on Takara's that much plus the yellow thighs kinda kill it for me, and finally Takara mirage takes it hands down.

For me, TT always wins with CW vs. UW because of the pegs. Almost every single robot mode for Hasbro has the combiner peg so obvious that it hurts the overall aesthetics. TT integrates the peg's color into the overall color scheme. Now if someone could just explain Blastoff's color scheme to me. #-o

Maybe, that Takara Tomy did not want to sell the White Optimus Prime in the Convoy Grand Prime giftset, was that it would be confused with Ultra Magnus.

Prior to this set, Takara hadn't released the regular red and blue version of the Optimus toy yet, so it's only logical for their first release of Optimus to be in his normal colors.

Originally, Chop Shop was my only target. The galleries have convinced me to get Buzz Saw (didn't take much for a new mold).

The big Groove toy is advertised on the packaging as a component of Sky Reign, so there's no overlap in the advertisements with the little Groove being a component of Defensor.
