Everyone but Hasbro seems to have gotten this fact right. I really don't see how they could've missed it.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

There is a helmet that is attached to the gun. Here is a video that shows how to detach it.

Prime never looks like that in any of the movies.
Cyberion wrote:Something else I'm wondering is, we haven't seen a pic of the trailer just by itself. Does it have any of the usual repair bay functions and bits, or is it just an empty trailer that comes apart to form some sort of wing bits? Anyone know?

Kanrabat- wrote:FIRST, ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME IS NOT A MOVIE TOY. He's INPIRED by the movies, but he's his own beast.
Since the first time I saw the pictures, I wanted him. Then, he came out early on Ebay.
130$ later, I finally got mine from Ebay. I don't regret that 15$ extra for having this amazing toy 6 months in advance (Stated to be released in Canada at December 2011 for 100$+TAXES).
For a toy this big, I found the transformation rather simple. Yeah, Popeye arm Prime look funny in robot mode, but are you really going to display him in that mode?
As for the Super Mode, I don't see him as "butterfly" Prime. I rather see him as some sort of orbital-space gun station. Absorb power whit his wings, then unleash a shot that could level an entire city block, Independence Day style.
I highly recommend him.
The only thing I regret is that the trailer is not a triple changer. It should have also being able to change into a home-base of some sort. That's why the old G1 Ginrai A.K.A Power Master Prime with Godbomber is the superior toy. Sure, Ginrai don't look as good as Ultimate Prime, but there's so much to do whit him! There's a little guy who is his engine, there's Ginrai himself, a trailer, a SECOND trailer that part-form into a big bot, the trailer transform into a weapon station, Ginrai combine with his first trailer for a super mode, then God-Bomber compine with him to make a ultra mode. What's not to love?

I see him as a spiritual successor to G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime w/ Apex Armor, aka God Ginrai, of whom I have a re-issue. I love that guy, and he can pretty much just stand there and be badass. Could someone post pics of these two side by side?

I too have the God Ginrai re-issue. And that toy is one of my favorite Prime ever! There's so much you can do with him. A true Optumus Prime fan MUST have him... and Ultimate Optimus Prime!
Here's a couple of pictures. I enjoyed myself transforming these guys. And Ultimate is really easy to transform.
First, here's the truck mode, side by side. Note Tiny Ginrai enjoying himself on top of his trailer.
Truck mode seen from above:
Ginrai is in his first power-up mode. God-Bomber is still in vehicle mode. Ultimate Prime is in robot mode in front of his trailer.
Ginrai in simple robot mode with his buddy, God-Bomber. Ginrai's trailer is in base mode. Note that I fan-mod'd Ultimate's trailer into an attack platform of some sort.
And here's God-Ginrai, in his super hyper mode, with Ultimate Optimus Prime in ultimate mode. Man I love them both so much. I love to put Ultimate's cannon up. It add a lot of volume and weigh to him. Hiding it in the back is a waste and it don't look so good in front.
Here's both Primes meaning business.
And while I'm at it, here's my whole Prime collection. I'm still missing Armada, Classic, and Rescue Heroes.

No need to add pictures. You can clearly see that MP Prime, the original one, is massive and tall like the main body of Ultimate Optimus Prime.
MP-01 Optimus Prime is, after all, almost of Supreme Class.
