I think I can look past the art if I were truly immersed in the story. However, this writing just seems really wordy, awkward, and above all, corny beyond all reason. I like corn, and have a hard time not associating G.I. Joe or Transformers with some amount of corn, but this is too much. If they could write a believable story, and have better dialogue, I could see myself investing time and money into this series. I just don't think that's going to happen though.

I... I really wanted to like this. I still like the art style in places -- the Starscream design on that first splash page looks absolutely killer -- and I even think the Cybertronian speech gimmick is sorta cool. But that dialogue. Holy crow, that dialogue. I mean, I could deal with a certain amount of goofiness or stylization but this ... this is just unreadable. I couldn't even get through the last page.

Art aside, I find the characterization of Starscream and Bumblebee... odd. 
Really, I expect better of Barber.

I for one am looking forward to this nostalgic romp from Scioli and Barber!
As a fan of the King Kirby, old school Marvel comic books and Transformers, this is right up my street.
Im keen to see how Sciloi's art moves through the books, being an ongoing series too, I wonder if other artists and writer will take over later?
I would absolutely love to see Ted McKeever's take on our favourite robots, wishing he got the gig back on Evolution.
I did a bit more digging and came across some more bits and bobs from Tom Scioli and his take on The Transformers/GI Joe...

The only point I see is I am glad that Kirby did not draw Transformers. And I (this is not a popular thing to some unfortunately) have never been a fan of Kirbys work.

What's with the hate for the marvel uk at? Target 2006 was a masterpiece. Marvel US on the other hand especially Wildman was bad.
Shame they didn't continue Devils due Tf Joe crossovers.

This series looks insanely bad, to the point where it's "bad good". I'll definitely be checking this out. It definitely contrasts the serious(and awesome)Dreamwave WW11 crossover from years ago, which is my favorite of the crossovers.
