Once again, Takara is cashing in on the Transformers Animated fans that have waiting on Hasbro to finish the Animated toy line. The newest figure to be released by Takara Tomy will be Wingblade Optimus Prime, a Voyager class figure representing Optimus Prime in the Transformers Animated cartoon finale. It was mentioned elsewhere but his chest looks transparent. That's kinda weird.

What clear plastic and shiny paint?

Still looks pretty awesome tough.

Optimus Prime suited up.

The more I look at him, the more clear plastic I see. It's not just his chest it's his entire body the only thing not made of clear plastic is the armour.

Do want!! Translucent or not, I'll likely import this badboy!

Well, if the armor matches Hasbro's voyager, then I'm cool with that. I detest that the Asian market is getting the rest of the line in jacked up colors while we're twiddling our thumbs hoping to get them in the English speaking market. It just kinda irks me that this guy is another fine WTF example of their version of Animated. Also that I will buy it to complete the run. Sigh.

I do like the look, kind of a fast pack... It would have been better, IMO, if they could have made this a trailor that morpohed into the armor for him. Like the trailor they had in the toon once or twice.

I daub it'll match Hasbro's colour scheme, I think the backpack will be too shiny. It looks great on this their version but might look odd on the Hasbro version.
And all because Hasbro decided to wait half a year after the show aired to release the toys.

ok i dont like the clear plastic at all but im still getting this and either repaint him or just use the amour on my hasbro version we will see

I hate to say but duh, of course his chest is transparent, it was like this on the first Voyager.

I'm glancing over my Voyager Prime and noticed that the plastic colors of his chest does not match up with those on the shoulders. Same story with Wingblade Prime, which is a shame.

Is this the Voyager version of the mold? Or the deluxe? It seems like it would be the Voyager, because it looks like his mouthplate is tucked beneath his chin but I can't tell on my screen.

Yeah, but I mean, is it "Voyager" like Hydrodive Bumblebee is a "Voyager".

Judging how tall he is compared to Magnus, I'm thinking he's a Voyager "Voyager". It also comes with the Voyager Primes "trailer"/axe/gun.

Nope, the Voyager mold has a solid plastic chest, the translucent windows in the chest are a separate piece. And if you look closely you will notice that the rest of his body and weapons are also translucent which makes it odd that they chose to paint some of him with shiny metallic paint.

I had this preordered, but canceled a few weeks ago when I thought about how I'd be spending $50+ on a toy that doesn't match the rest of my Animated collection. Will wait and see if Hasbro ever releases theirs.

Look at the top of his truck mode - the back of it (his shoulders) is an entirely different color from the front chest piece, because the chest is translucent. With that in mind, looks down, and the hand covers in the front are a sort of smoky grey, also translucent. His lighter gray areas are as well.

Everything but the armor, and shoulders, it looks like. Shame.

Plus you can actually see the insides of the figure, look at the legs you can see the mold lines that are on the inside of the legs. And you can see right through the gray parts and the wheels.
that thing is translucent with metallic paint applied here and there.

Wow, I never had much interest in this figure before, but I must say he's becoming mighty tempting. The mold looks really nice and detailed. Don't think I can afford an import though. Just have to wait until we maybe get them here...why, Hasbro why?
