Thanks to TF08.net we have our first image of the upcoming Transformers: Animated Roadbuster Ultra Magnus figure in vehicle mode, that is not an official marketing image.

Animated Roadbuster Ultra Magnus is a repaint of the Leader Class Ultra Magnus figure, and is set for release in the first quarter of 2009.

I'm not a fan of the Roadbuster color. I'd rather this thing gets a black repaint or in camo.

I like Shadow Blade Megatron better, but I don't think it looks that bad. I've told myself pass on this and the Megs repaint, but I also said that about EG BB and ended up buying him anyway. It's so hard to resist sometimes!

The blue parts are a real turnoff, especially in robot mode. Unfortunately, as a devoted Magnus fan, I'm compelled to get it, no matter how garish it may look (I'm hoping they don't release a Disney Magnus, I already dodged a bullet with the Nike Marine).

It's an decent repaint. But I'm perfectly happy with my current Magnus.

It's too bad that they didn't recolor those blue bits though.

It's official: I'd rather get a Leader Magnus and repaint it than try for a Roadbuster Magnus.
And now I'll probably never see Leader Magnus again. Lol...

I was actually alarmed by the sheer ugliness of this figure.

If anything, they should have added a little more G1 feel to it, these colors make no sense at all.

And if you're just gonna throw random colors out there make sure they don't suck.

are they getting lazy or just dont care anymore i relize the toys they make are aimed to kids but atleast a small child is not going to stand down and do nothing when he plays with this thing hes going to say why does roadbuster have a blue face he looks like ultra magnus.?
