The latest round of Japanese hobby magazine scans have hit the internet, and have provided us with some great images of several upcoming Takara Tomy Transformers figures. Nothing new per say, but these images do reveal that the green redeco of Beast Hunters Deluxe Ratchet is actually a Decepticon! The images include:

That Ratchet repaint is actually movie Ratchet who traveled into the Prime universe. He must have sided with the Decepticons because they were the murderous crazy ones, just like his Autobots back home.

Actually, I find it more plausible that it's the weird Shattered Glass Ratchet. Who's the better medic? Better question: who cares?

Hardly, the kana still read "Hunter Ratchet". Besides, there's no word on the "Hunters" actually appearing in the anime. Optimus doesn't really count, as he's noting more than a cardboard cutout

Not questioning anyone's translation skills, but are we sure this is Ratchet, and not some other Decepticon with a completely different name and bio? I just can't see this being Ratchet, I can't. I understand how it could be, with Ratchet temporarily helping the Decepticons with the Synthetic Energon formula, but I don't know.

Plus, the backstory go Go! doesn't quite seem to match up perfectly with season 3, so there's room for this toy's bio to conflict with the character's portrayal in the third season of the cartoon.

- Garara - Twinstrike redeco, based on Gaidora
- Jurara - Rippersnapper redeco, based on Judora
- Burara - Blight redeco, based on Budora
