Man, this line just gets better and better with every toy I see! Lockdown's still my fav though. And Bulkhead is awesome.

Re: New Pics of Transformers Animated Voyager Optimus Prime
I agree after looking at the new Images of the supposed prime it is a different version than the grey prototype you can tell there is a major difference in detail like the fists appear to be hallow on the backside and on the grey they are fully detailed...the detail on the grey prototype is far more detail in its armor in both robot mode and vehicle mode...next the joints are more intricate and advanced in comparison and show what a true voyager class figure has...also that back armor looks like it makes up the main axe weapon and possibly a gun which would be sweet I think....
and as shown by members before there are deluxe figures that in height compared to a voyager are taller or equal in height like the example of cybertronian Megatron and Lockdown...So I believe that this new earth based prime is a deluxe version with battle damage...also you can notice that the axe is a simple one piece mold which also leads to my belief...
So my final decision is that these new Images are of a deluxe version with battle scars....and it was miss placed in the database as a voyager...plus they did have some miss writings in the database as well putting some wrong prices and figures in different categories.....

Do you know what this means? Voyagers are just deluxe figs packed in boxes way too big for them (they want them to appeal big) just to rip money out of ouf pockets.
This not badass. It's so BAD, it's ASS!

We have yet to see Earth Mode Megs, that corresponds to the Animated Model we have seen.

I would guess that Megs will be Significantly bigger than the Cybertron Mode one.
I've watched the Special premiere, and the Megatron that appears is in fact the Cybertron Model. although heavily shadowed. I suppose he acquires the earth mode later in the series.
Going back to the size of this Prime: I can now state with fair certainty, that it is in fact a heavily modified Deluxe mold made out to look like the Earth Mode.
As I said previously this maybe because it will be packaged with a Trailer, (accounting for the extra plastic, and hence the heftier price point). Or in fact is a different release altogether. And he have yet to see a colored working version of the Voyager mold. As is the case with Megatron.

no I think you have it wrong I think they just misinterpreted the images of the prime figure...and thought it was a voyager when clearly it isnt...look at all the other voyager figures like Bulkhead, Lugnut, Starscream and Megatron and they are correct.....so it just goes to show dont jump to conclusions...=)

Lockdown could possibly be the tallest deluxe ever. Probably the tallest in the whole Animated line. I wonder how big he'll be in the show.

Re: New Pics of Transformers Animated Voyager Optimus Prime
Hasbros "Battle Damaged Look" Never has looked like venom taking over!! I have seen prototype marks like those on SWs Figures. Im just saying though...it could be "Battle Damage".....BUT look at the 20th Anniv. Prime and Masterpiece StarScream.....the battle damage on those two look nothing and I mean nothing like it does on this Prime.

Dudes, I think the toy has been misinterpreted.
This is as other have stated before, just a modified Deluxe Prime, and since it's been made to look like earth mode Prime the creator of the thread jumped to conclusions thinking this might be the Voyager, especially cos of the Voyager Proto pics on the top of the post.
so this is a twopack figure, will it be packet with a battle damaged Megatron, cos that would so kick ass!

He could turn out really small in the show.
Like Movie Blackout's supposedly biggest Decepticon bot, and yet, turns out to be one of the smallest toy. (In terms of scale.)

That is a Deluxe Class, battle damaged figure. Supposedly for a special 2-Pack with a DVD pack-in.
It was confirmed over at the ALLSpark message board this morning.
The Voyager mold and this figure are not one and the same.
Again, this is a Deluxe Class Earth Mode Optimus with battle damage.

If that's true, that clears a lot up. Now what about that Cybertron Mode Megatron? He's small, and he IS a Voyager. Right?

That one I couldn't tell you, but it would make sense that he'd be a Deluxe Class because he's quite a bit shorter than Lockdown.
And it would make sense from a business standpoint as well. You don't see much of the Cybertronian versions, so why go all out when the Voyager designs will carry the bulk of the series? At least that's how I'd do it.
My guess is that Earth Mode Megatron will be bigger than what we're seeing of the present Megatron figure.
At least, that's my hope. With Bulkhead as small as he is...that doesn't give me 100% hope...

Yeah, but look how much bulk there is in Megatron's cannon, and he's taller than Bulkhead as it is. He's also comparable in size to Classics Voyager Megs, - there's a picture somewhere.
Lockdown's just one big bastard of a deluxe.

Well I can't comment on Hasbro's plan for the figure and whatever size class he'll be in, but I can fully agree that Lockdown is gigantic. He's just a big ball of...wow.

i win again. heh. thanks for the confirmation Autobot032.

no way was that version going to be Voyager-class, it really did not have much going for it in terms of features and gimmicks.

all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Re: New Pics of Transformers Animated Voyager Optimus Prime
i cant wait to see teh voyager figure in final prouction colours, it could be my favourite optimus ever.
In comparison the classics version seems a bit clumsy looking with his arm kibble, messy back and somewhat bird like rear clawed feet. The other thing that has grown on me is the alt modes of the animated prime toys, some hate it but i really like the overall look of that truck. the axe gets in the way of earth delux and thats the only thing not really thought out (unlike the other 2 versions).
I like G1 prime although i have always thought he was the plainest looking of the diaclone bots, aside from that i own reissue powermaster uber brick prime but voyager prime looks like it could take the crown for my favourite one yet.

Ok, loose the "battle damage" paint apps, and you've got yourself a sale! I agree that the axe just hanging there in vehicle mode isn't very good, but that's a small price to pay for what you get out of it in bot mode!
EDIT: THANK GOD this is a variant deluxe. That just makes me want the official voyager even more.

I can't wait for the Voyager. He looks like *THE* definitive Animated Prime figure. He captures the animated look just right and he's completely made of win.
If the rest of the line is as good as Prime and Bulkhead, then we're going to have pure win in our collections.
I still can't believe I caved, I'm a little P.O.ed at myself, but they're fantastic.

Re: New Pics of Transformers Animated Voyager Optimus Prime
Maybe the Voyager will be the definitive version, but I gotta admit, this here deluxe is pretty damn fine too. Plus he doesn't make Bulkhead look too small either.
Now if only they'd loose that battle damage. Knowing Hasbro's passion for repaints, they probably will... but by then half of us will probbly already have the cruddy 'damaged' version.

I was just on TFormers.com and I looked at the Transformers Animated toy database. It lists Blitzwing, Soundwave, and Grimlock as deluxes.

I'm definitely getting this. I thought a deluxe Prime's puny so I'm skipping that. This voyager Animated Prime is going to fit in with my other Primes well.
