The colour scheme works well, but There is not enough of the mint green and purple, and far too much white in alt mode. Robot mode fares much better.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I think it's a great mold and a creative repaint/retool in acurate colors. Can't wait for Botcon!

I love the new head!! I think it looks great!

Coincedently, I'm getting the set. Did anyone that was able to get the set not like the figure.
Seriously, I like this figure and can't wait to see it in person.

Umm, this confuses me. It is the same color scheme as the original. What gives and what color scheme did you think Dreadwind would be?

I'm getting the set, but he's getting dumped off. I just wanted the seekers.

I see the same issue with Bugbite. The original was a Bumblebee repaint. Why would this one be any different? I'd be upset if the colors on either were any different. They may have not been my ideal choice of character to represent with the last batch of Classics. However, given the 2 characters chosen, the figures are a pretty accurate representation.

Must be quite the forgotten figure since some people don't seem to know what color scheme him and bugbite are supposed to be.

Why pass up the opportunity for petty complaining?
Seriously, this toy should have been colored black. They should have used black detailing, all black weapons, and transluscent black for the eye piping.
That and they should have taken out all of the gimmicks and just gone with the 1042 standard points of articulation.
Seriously.

eeeew, what a way to ruin the good mold! but i guess there's not much you can do with the colors if dreadwing is what you want. But i think they could have picked a mold that is slimmer in design that might go better with the colors--maybe one of the seekers.

I think the last thing this set - nay, this line - needs is another Seeker!

And there lies the problem. If you saw this figure and didn't know it was supposed to be Dreadwind, you would think it looks horrible. It's certainly not visually appealing unless you're color blind...So why pick Dreadwind for the Jetfire repaint? It's not like he's the only G1 character that was some kind of plane type vehicle. And I sure as hell know there were ones that had better colors. That scheme looked fine on the G1 figure, but when translated over to a completely different toy it just looks bad.

Well instead of looking like Rick Hunters VF-1S it now looks like Ben Dixons VF-1A from the OVA "Do You Remember Love." Glad I was able to score the set.
