A question for HGSS players:

Has anyone downloaded the Yellow Forrest route for the PokeWalker? I am really interested in a Surfing Pikachu...However, I learned that Surfing Pikachus are only female...Could I get a male Surfing Pikachu via breeding? Do these special event Pikachu evolve, or they are like the one from Pokemon Yellow?

It's currently impossible to get a male surfing Pikachu without cheating.

They can all evolve into surfing Raichu.

The move cannot be passed down through breeding. Even if the father also knows Surf, the move will not be passed down to the child.

If you ever get access to WiFi however, I could trade you a male surfing Pikachu that was given away as an event in Japan, and that's the only way you'd be able to get one legitimately at the moment.

the one i got from battle revolution was male..

Ooh, I totally forgot about that one. But still, it'd have to be traded to him, or purchase PBR just to get the Pikachu. PBR is great for online battles but still pretty expensive for very little content.

I like PBR too! It's the easiest and most fun way to play online. There's so much variety in the random battles, I never get tired of it. From the kids that use only ubers to the die hard Japanese expert players that kick my ass with impunity.

I HATE ROAMING LEGENDARIES :-x

OK..Let me explain.
As you may already know we are going to need the legendary dogs from HGSS for some reason in B/W (something similar to the awakening of Regigigas I guess). This really frustrates me because I tend to ignore the roaming legendaries since I don't use any ubers and I find hunting them so boring... Thankfully, Suicune isn't a roaming anymore(one less to go...)

I feel your pain. The dogs are the worst ones because they have Roar, which trumps Shadow Tag and Mean Look... Master Balls are your best friends in this case.

I've been saving Master Balls since Ruby... lol. So I caught the two of them easily enough, and I still have three unused Master Balls for the future.

I caught a Lv.24 Dugtrio with "Arena Trap" yesterday and I am training it in Mt.Silver to level up. I don't think that either Entei or Raiku will be much a threat for it. I don't want to use my Master Ball, so, Ultra Balls and Kurt's Heavy Balls will do the job(I hope...).

They can still Roar you away even with Arena Trap, so make sure you can put them to sleep.

Roamers can still run when asleep! :shock:

If you happen to have two or more games, you could keep reset/replay one to get the Masterball and just trade it over (you get it about half-way through the evil team's big mission in RSFrLgDP, so you don't have to play through the entire way), though you'd need either two DSs or a Pal Park-able DS and beaten the Elite Four.

I don't quite get why BW is supposed to be for the regular DS while the next handheld's coming out so soon after...

...unless BW runs on both the new and old systems like GS did with GameBoy Color and, uh, not... Color. Just in case the 3DS inexplicably fails?

3DS will be backwards compatible with all DS games. So there's no need to fret about that.

It's probably a good move anyway, since people who can't afford to buy a 3DS yet can still get B/W... Maximizing profits for Game Freak. :ic$:
