Today I found a Spastic/Over-run in Jacksonville, FL at a Ross store (there are two more left in super beat up boxes at the Town Center location). I think this is the first U.S. retail sighting, so I'm making it a new topic.

I've checked out some Ross & TJ Maxx stores in the Dallas and Denton area, nothing noteworthy but a Leader Starscream and PCC Steamhammer. Imagine my disappointment as I was hoping for Grimstone... :sad:

PCC Steamhammer is fantastic! You really should reconsider on that one.

I actually had high hopes for Grimstone and his boys. Steamhammer and his are far superior figures. The drones even sort of have their own little play feature. The only PCC five pack of the four I bought that I recommend to people. I honestly think Grimstone is crap. They could have and should have been far better.

Good news Power Core Combiner fans, the wave five Over-Run with Stunticons 5-pack is starting to show up at discount retailers. Our own It Is Him found and purchased the set at a Ross in Jacksonville, FL for $10.99.

I don't have pics to prove it, but at the Kewanee,IL Walmart these were being put out as the PCC value packs. All I saw were Spastic paired with various commander\mini-cons(none of the latest wave). They had about 100 of these st up near the front of the store, but they were cordoned off with huge amounts of plastic wrap.

Man, there was this guy at BotCon this year in line for the Club Store who bought ALL of the Spastics/Over-Runs! I still get pissed thinking about that prick, because I still having even seen these anywhere! Not in stores, or online, or at conventions, including that BotCon! So every time I see this, it reminds me of that asshole and I get mad for no reason. :-x

Agreed about Steamhammer's team's awesomeness; at the last minute before the line was canned, the drone arm's evolved THUMBS!!!!!!!!!

Although that does make Powered-Up Grimstone's dino-ass-for-a-hand feature look pathetic by comparison, I still like him. Maybe it was finding two in Marshall's after the thrill of the long hunt.

The supply of leader Starscreams and Ops seems pretty rigid, the half-price voyagers (Grappel, Lugnut, Deep Dive) come and go, and now they all seem to have the first 2 waves of PCC 2-packs in infinite supply, and Toys'R'Us keeps getting waves 2 and 3 + Skyhammer and Undertow. So the three that I called the Meijer-exclusive wave last year are now overly abundant; should've ebayed my extras when I had the chance...

A shame these guys don't really have any fiction devoted to them. Hopefully we'll see them in some Mosaic's soon, especially if someone puts tome thought into special abilities for different combinations, including super-moves with cool names. I wonder if Hasbro would approve of Over-Run's chaotic finishing move, "SPAZ-ATTAAAAAAAACK!!!"

I'm sorry, but someone was going to type that eventually.

The Stunticons PCC made me laugh, since I went out and bought Crankcase and Double Clutch's teams and then gave the Rallybot drones to Crankcase to form a decent bath of Stunticons. Attempted to give the result Chopster in axe form - can't remember if it worked out or not.

Ross and Marshall's have been getting all kinds of goodies this past week. I talked with one of the stock clerks and she mentioned that they're getting trucks almost daily. Scored these just the other day:

believe it or not but that's the only PCC's they had sitting on the pegs. Anyways...made a lot of my collector buddies pretty happy.

glad I didn't cave in and pay a scalper $20 for one.

My Ross has a ton of wave 2 and Smolder, but no Heavytread or Spastic/Over-run/Drag Strip yet. They're all I need to have this series finished, since I am ignoring repaints.

Spastic/Over-run is a repaint. So all you need is Heavytread?

Which is why I have him, as well. I have none of wave 3's 2-packs, nor do I care for Salvage.
