Repaints of old figures. Fine by TFCC standards, but I was expecting new molds from Takara.

Takara hasn't made any new molds for this line since it started why would you expect new molds now?

Besides for all intents and purposes aside from Hero Megatron and Rodimus none of these molds have been released in Japan so they are technically new molds to them.

Besides for all intents and purposes aside from Hero Megatron and Rodimus none of these molds have been released in Japan so they are technically new molds to them.

If one doesn't count the USA Edition Sharkticon from Toy's Dream Project.

I've preordered the Windy set and G2Megs, I'll wait for fi al colour schemes before deciding on Sharkticon and Unicron.

Personally I would have preferred Tailgate as the Windy repaint, Wipe-out seems a *very* obscure choice.....

I love obscure references. Usually if they're obscure, people will be happy that the character even got a toy. If it was a popular character, then people would complain about anything they see as wrong.

Between this and the Encore cassette, somebody at TT has really been delving into the fiction archives.

I wonder I that's the reason they are releasing Thunderwing? I would have thought that the Black Shadow remould would have been a more obvious choice for the Japanese market.....

These sound/look really interesting. Thunder Megatron looks like pre-beast BW Megatron. I'm excited to see Axalon, too.

I'm pre-ordering the Sharkticon and Windcharger 2-pack but will probably cancel them unless something really amazing is done with them especially since all I want is black Windcharger. I like that Megatron color scheme but that mold is crap and not worth $40.

I'm hoping to see a final deco on that Sharkticon soon. The original Energon and it's U-reissue are both readily available on eBay. I they don't do something special with it, I'm not dropping almost £30 for a Japanese card back!

I don't like the Beast Wars molds. Unicron will always be a planet to me. Excited about the Windcharger and repaint- unless they don't get a wide release again.

Other than the Wipeout, not really hitting on anything for me. Mostly tired old molds....and the little Unicron... just when I had erased that figure from memory.

Yes and no. The Energon Sharkticon figure was repackaged in Universe 2003 packaging and sold at discount stores. I think he can still be found at some places like Big Lots.

If there's any one I'm getting, it'll probably be Axalon. Not crazy about the loudish color scheme, but I love that Sharkticon mode.

I wish Rodimus didn't have faux painted windscreens. Retool that thing with clear blue plastic, and it's bought on sight.

In Rodimus' case, I said I didn't like the fact that he had faux painted windscreens and I wished he had clear plastic ones. When you said they were just mock-ups, I instantly got the idea that the upcoming Rodimus figs would have clear windows, meaning at least a retool.

Just a case of miscommunication, I guess.

I was really looking forward to a continuation of United—and I'm glad it is continuing—but this doesn't impress me much. Assuming they have upgraded paint jobs over the Generations releases, I'll probably pick up Warpath, Thunderwing, and Windcharger/Wipeout. Hot Rod is a maybe, depending on what the actual figure looks like. The rest don't interest me.

Presumably UN-23 (Hot Rod) is what we're getting instead of an actual rerelease of the Henkei figure. This doesn't surprise me. It will be interesting to see what the final product looks like. I'd like to be wrong, but I'm betting it will be a lot closer to the Universe/RtS release than the original Classics/Henkei one.

I'm also betting we'll see at least one more wave after this that will include Skullgrin, Black/Sky Shadow, and Junkheap.
