Great to see it return for a 2nd season, and we got two episodes.....yaay
The Mechanic is certainly a great villain for this season(although it's too early to say if he's working for the Hood or not?)

Re: new Thunderbirds reboot on ITV Channel in the UK
Yeah! Love this show, so glad it's back!
I'm really happy to see they used an actual model for the TB2 sequence. Gave it a feeling of realness (although the original version had a much more epic sequence hehe).
Also, just discovered there's a TB5 figure out. Gonna have to pick it up at the weekend, Argos has it marked for about 7 quid.
Aaaah, Thunderbirds. How I do love you, old and new.
EDIT: Yep. Just picked up TB5 for £7:50 on the way into work. Nice looking craft, looking forward to cracking it open with the rest of the Thunderbirds. Was still in a plastic baggy as well.

I know when it was announced the intention was for it to be a mix of models and CGI, but have they increased the use models in the current season?
(And live reptiles. So many "Land of the Giants" moments. Loved it!)

Yeah, don't know whether for some reason I'm paying more attention, or they've kicked it up a notch, but I am noticing it more this season.

Re: new Thunderbirds reboot on ITV Channel in the UK
I'm also noticing more model work this season. Which I enjoy, the model work is fantastic and adds more weight to things like the TB4 drop last week, that bouncing on the surface was totally a model. This week's ep totally reminded me of the original episode with the giant alligators from the serum. Even ended with the same joke. Lol.
And something else I like seeing, during the launches of TB1, sometimes you can see TB3 or 4 lurking around, and sometimes not, implying they are off on missions. It seems random but is a nice touch over the original in that they are handling multiple issues at once.
This series makes me happy.

RDO so I was already on a day off, this day just gets better!
Thanks Stuart! You're giving me exactly what I wanted!

Better get back on track before he makes some thinly veiled insult about being off-topic ... This weeks episode was nothing great, thoroughly enjoyed seeing Grandma Tracey in the spotlight in last weeks though!

Re: new Thunderbirds reboot on ITV Channel in the UK
It's nice seeing the Thunderbirds being used like we always imagined they could be. I love the old series to bits, but it did feel like TB5 did nothing but be a glorified telephone (which it was) and I always felt TB1 could do more. I know they were limited with the models, but it's episodes like this where we can see the Thunderbirds really spread their wings and work. From TB1 manouvering in the turbine, to TB2's mid air catch of FAB1. I like how we get episodes where they are off on multiple missions at the same time, but I enjoy it more when we get multiple Thunderbirds in action at once.
I still want to know what's in module 6. 2 is the POD's, 3 is the grapples/seats, 4 is TB4, 5 is the feuling thing. I know they used Module 1 once didn't they?(It's really hard for me to call them modules and not Pods). But we still haven't seen module 6. Although I think they only used it once in the old series too.

Re: new Thunderbirds reboot on ITV Channel in the UK
Did anyone get to see the cancelled episode Inferno? I can see why they decided not to air it being set in london, but it's a shame as it is one of the best episodes to date. And we finally got to see pod 1 in use. I refuse to call them modules. They're pods. It was meant to go in before Home on the Range.
Yes, i too am still watching. Only two episodes left. Still loving it. The final episode has to reveal who the mechanic is. We know it's someone with a past linked to Brains.

Does that mean Australia is now a week behind us? And they have to reveal him in the final ep. For some reason, I'm thinking brains cousin.

We've always been a week behind. The episode you guys get, that I download on a Saturday, doesn't air in Australia until the Sunday of the following week. (So technically about 8 days)
