Yes but I don't recommend doing often. There were already stress marks on the pegs and one peg had broken off. This was assembled once before it was shipped to me.

boy that is unfortunate. how about using the blowdryer on the stress marks that usually does the trick ,and regluing that broken peg with epoxy or superglue? i was thinking of getting it but that can be a problem. especially if one wants to make some space later in the room for other toy displaying stuff or don't want it to collect dust over the course of time by trying to keep it mint. very quick response! like your review! i just finished watching it! it is the best playset i have seen in a long time. thanks!

Those are all good ideas. If you would want to keep it together I could recommend using an acrylic display case but that could take up more space.

Not a big fan of how Nickelodeon updated April O'niel as a bratty little kid (we all remember the sexy vixen she used to be), or how they changed Splinter's back story (although an ex-human as a ninja master is more believable than a rat who practiced moves in his cage).
The best part is, they less than 8 bucks each at Wally World, and at that price you can do some awesome army building with the Foot Clan soldier figures. I will probably pick up the Turtle van also, and hope this line is successful enough to give us more members, like that Baxter (?) guy who got mutated into a fly, and my all time favorite, the Rat King.

Best of all...act fast and the are BOGO 1/2 at the TRU store...(but I only bought two at a time after discovering that adding all 4 to my cart only resulted in getting the discount on 1 of them...)
The only thing I dont really like is the preview I saw of how they are turning the Rat King into an Undertaker-like character...and I always preferred the mutant fly Baxter Stockman over the wanna-be cyborg version.
Still, the 4 turtles are totally awesome figs...nice quality plastic, good articulation...a ny old school turtles fans need to pick these up for the Nostalgia Awesome factor!

I also got the classics collection, but they were very expensive! I found Don and Mikey in Cali when I was there for about 20 bucks each, but they didn't have Leo and Raph, so my Wife ordered them for me online, but they were about 40 bucks each, I never saw them out in stores here in VA!
I'm actually doing some customizations to my new TMNT, not the classics though, I'll love as is..., I'm changing the plastic chains with metal chains and total repaints on all 4, I'll make sure to post pics when I'm done with this project!

what you guys think?

Iron Prime wrote:I love the chains! How are you doing those?
you'll be amazed at how easy it is...
I got the chains and eye pins from michaels, they have all kinds, just choose whichever style you like, this is the closest I could get to resemble the plastic ones.
1) cut the plastic chains
2) cut the eye pins down to a quarter inch or half inch
3) heat up the eye pins and stick them in the plastic, it'll go in like butter!, no need to drill.
4) cut your chain to the length you want
5) open the "eye" on the eye pins and stick the chain through it!
there you go!, you got a cool set of weapons!
I think the painting part is going to be a pain... since the arm joints are very tight, you need to sand them down in order for the paint not to come off when you move their arms...
but we'll see, I'll post the pics when they're all set!

That does sound pretty easy!

The chains aren't going anywhere... the heat of the eye pin and the plastic will make it tough to come out once it cools down (after a few seconds), could be a fun project between you and your son...

I think Metalhead looks very cool... it'll be fun to paint him! he's not as cool as the original though, but still cool
