Repaints galore parade their way through the illustrious toy galleries of Seibertron.com today. While Takara and Hasbro have near identical Dark Of The Moon toy releases, Takara has itself a handful of movie toys exclusive to their label. Two of them were released earlier this summer, Air Raid and Arcee. The other pair released are Vortex and Skywarp. Vortex is a repaint of HFTD Tomahawk, taking after the Generation One Combaticon. Skywarp is a repaint/remold of Starscream, completing the trifecta of Movie Deluxe seekers.

Moving back to domestic releases, we switch to Deluxe Wave 4, which features Cyberfire Bumblebee and Specialist Ratchet. Cyberfire Bumblebee continues the Bumblebee mania, a repaint of the Deluxe figure. Homages to Generation One Ratchet continue, with a repaint of the DOTM Deluxe in red and white.

Just want to let everyone know that I also updated Starscream and Thundercracker's galleries to include comparison shots with the original version of the movie Seeker mold as well as group shots with all 3 seekers in both vehicle and robot modes.

One could really name it, um... What was the name of that dark colored Decepticon Bumblebee? In G1, I think...

Maaaan. I feel like the fact that we aren't getting Vortex & Skywarp here makes them 20% cooler. Vortex especially looks amazing. I hope we do end up getting them eventually.

Just a note on Vortex ... I used a silver sharpie over his mouth plate, which is actually a silvery whitish cream color similar to the end pieces on his wings. Unfortunately, it has the same problems with the paint chipping that this paint has had in other uses such as on Takara's Unicron's face. I opened two Vortexes and both had the same problem ... one in the nose area and the other in the chin area. I really wish Takara would stop using that paint on their figures, especially on the faces.

Was it Bug Bite you're referring to? I don't know of any other G1 evil Bumblebee.

I really am cautious about buying Vortex and Skywarp. Too many times have I bought an import only for Hasbro to release their own version a year later.

The Skywarp isnt worth the money because Starscream's stupid tattoos keep you from getting a perfect G1 trio.

I got a Vortex in my pile of loot to be ready for the Headrobots Whirl kit or the Renderform Vortex upgrade. One way or another that ugly stock head will end up in my parts box.

I only want Vortex and Ratchet, the rest I'll skip. I already have a Movie Skywarp, and Bumblebee doesn't look exciting enough to me. I mean, he's still yellow and black! Go watch Bee Movie to see what I mean.

Probably. Meh, I myself thought it was Nightbug or something, but a search in TFWiki gave me no result, so yeah, it must be Bug Bite.
