If enough people ask for it maybe they'll do it. Like the missiles on City Commander.

At this stage, I suggest petitioning HeadRobots for that.
I'd rather FP move on to other projects than a simple head swap.

Like an upgrade kit for a certain chosen one, for example?

Uh, actually... Did they stop producing those? I can't find them anywhere except tfsource, and they decided to quadruple the price.![]()
If they aren't making those anymore, I might just cancel these. I did intend to display them together after all.
Trikeboy wrote:Which of these would you want on display?
I think I would rather have the Energon version. Whoops, I meant Universe with Crossfire added. There is absolutly no contest between them. Seriously Hasbro, you dropped the ball with the Energon combiners. Thank the gods for Fansproject.

Pretty sure they have stopped producing them, but you may still get lucky and see one somewhere eventually. I'd still recommend getting the Bruticus add-ons, because you'll probably regret skipping them. I know I would.Trikeboy wrote:Which of these would you want on display?

I'm going to have both.

This. I think for what Hasbro was doing at the time, they did a good job. There were obviously budget and limitations, but the combiners turned out pretty well and fit the Energon line. After all, they weren't really designed to be full-on modern versions of the G1 combiners, they were designed to be Energon versions. In that aspect they succeeded.
Fansproject's set raises the bar of course, for reasons that have already been discussed.

Not at this time ... I've got my hands full with too many other galleries at the moment. You guys are going to have to use your imagination for that combination.

The leg in particular, it's just a Hummer with a big foot stuck on the front; ditto for the tank leg. The shuttle arm is a little better, but not by much. The big add-on parts look great in terms of fit and finish, esp those beautiful hands, but I like my combiners to be self-contained, like the original Energon Bruticus mold, ROTF Dev (Supreme and Legends), Energon Dev, even GoBots Puzzler. All those add-ons take away from the combined form, IMHO.
That said, the individual robot modes are spectacular, I would get them on their own merits and never combine them.

I'm sure you're not alone, but probably in the minority. I think the combined form is ridiculously awesome, and all those extra combiner parts can be incorporated into the vehicle modes in some form or fashion. I actually pre-ordered two of each, that way I can display the combined form and have them displayed individually with Universe Onslaught and the displaced helicopter and tank from the original set. Best of both worlds.
