Only days after the premiere of the 3rd Season of Transformers Animated, Hasbro have updated their Official Transformers Animated website.

Getting the premium upgrade this time around is the Animated Character Bio's Page, newcomers Jetfire, Jetstorm, Safeguard, Swindle, Arcee and the Decepticon Spy Shockwave all having their Bio's added alongside Animated stalwarts such as Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Starscream and Lugnut.

I tend to agree with Harvester. This nonsense about the Animated line being cancelled a while back was a load of horse putty...They may end it after the season 3 toons, but they will do the season 3 figs...otherwise their is almost no point to the cartoon; after all, that's what it's there for- to sell toys!

lol I don't understand the ARCEE crush everybody has. Don't mistake me, I'm a huge ARCEE fan myself, I'm just not sure why. She never realy did all that much in the cartoons (and I didn't read G1 comics), she didn't have a toy to call her own untill ENERGON (which was a very cool lil' toy, I have the original and three repaints myself) and she was a wilting 'damsel in distress' in ANIMATED.
I much prefer her bio in THE ULTIMATE GUIDE, and ENERGON's consept of her as a marksmech.
...In my mind, I already own the ANIMATED fig :grin:

personally I've always wanted an Arcee toy. When the first movie came out, I pretty much had every toy in the movie except extra junkions and the alligator shark type guys on the Quintesson planet[the Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong part]. The quintessons themselves I didn't care too much about cause they didn't transform. I only wanted transforming figures [otherwise I used to think they were "useless"].

Arcee was like the holy grail cause it would seem she should have a toy, she was part of the new Cybertronian crew in the movie and had similar color schemes/style and she transformed and had a cool form in both ways. But one never came out. The other guys did [Blurr, Kup, Springer]. The one you're talking about is a motorcycle and to me, that's like never having a Prime toy and then they finally come out with a "Primal Prime" but never a truck.

So for this new animated version, it would be like the first "official" Arcee fig that's close to the G1 iteration.

I dont know much about the above figure but it looks nice to me.

That's why Im excited =P [and I have the Binaltech version of her but it's not the same, even if I finally get around to sculpting her a new head]

wow I stired up a bit of a reaction. I agree that part of ARCEE's apeal is the mystique of her absent G1 toy and the long wait 'till ENERGON, but I realy hope it's not 'cause of the 'chick robot' thing. That's... a little creepy

I'm guessing you were a fan of THUNDERBLAST on CYBERTRON? (Jokes, brother. Absolutely no offence meant.)

I prefer the G1 Arcee to Animated because she had much prettier legs. rrrrrrrr,

Arcee was a major character both in the Movie and in season 3. TF fans get pissed off when major characters dont get a toy. And she was the first well known female transformer.

She was probably also the first main character that didn't get a toy. Did any other main characters not get a toy?
