Well, it's looking like I can cancel my preorders for me. The small differences from the Hasbro reissues is not enough for me to pay the extra cash to buy these again, and I already have a G1 Megatron.

G1 stylized boxes, nice touch. Even though I already have all of these guys, I'll probably end up getting them again. Assuming Prime & Megatron come w/their Axe & Mace, that's the only reason I would get the TFC 0 & 6. I just love Soundwave so much I'll get another one. Starscream.....he has the right sied misiles this time. That's a good reason. Yay for Takara-Tomy!

Im looking forward the Encore range. It could be the start of something really good. The only one I will be keeping for myself is Prime as I have all the other figures from one line or another.

I think I'll pick up Prime and Soundwave. If Megatron comes with the energon mace like TFC #6 did, I'll get him too.

No need for Starscream. I have the first Takara and Hasbro reissues.

I pre ordered mine through the Image Anime site... I see BBTS and TFsource also have them on their sites and they all ship internationally so no one should have problems getting hold of these.

I hope Takara announce another wave of four once these are out.

The only one I'm interested in is Soundwave. He has the logo on his door instead of the rub sign and it's Laserbeak, not Buzzsaw. Yippiee!!! Now, I just hope you save one for me Ravage XK :grin:

Which version of soundwave came with Buzzsaw? I got Laserbeak with my TFC book style reissue.

Thats not much help, I prefer not to buy TF's online you see (unless its a huge bargain that cant be missed) since they usually end up costing more because of exorbatent shipping charges that people like to tack on to the end of the final total.

I believe the original G1 Soundwave was packaged with Buzzsaw.

Eagerly anticipating these releases.

As many reissues do not sell, only certain characters should be implemented. A Jazz reissue may be in order- the TFC Jazz had terrible joints and the Hasbro variant had unchromed weapons and lengthened missiles.

Ironhide may be a suitable choice- he's in the film and hasn't been reissued in a good deal of time.

No major retailers are carrying these. I'm getting mine online. If you insist upon a brick and mortar store, try your local anime shops

Fair enough, was that a dig? You wont find the Encore range in any main line UK toy stores. You will have to go to specialised import stores.

For the record my shipping costs are never more than £5.95 no matter how much you buy. Less for smaller lighter items. That is unless they are going to N Ireland, remote parts of Scotland or non mainland UK, when the courier likes to slap on a surcharge.

Nah it wasnt a dig, i was just expressing my frustrations with most online retailers and ebay users who had great TF items, but i couldnt afford them because of the ridiculous shipping costs.

People who do that are rip off merchants, as i know how much shipping can cost as ive sold stuff on ebay and i know how it works, and shipping simply doesnt cost that much for certain things.

Your shipping rates seem reasonable though so i might reconsider my "no TF shopping online" rule.

Well, I'm glad I decided to grab a TRU Sounwave when I got the chance. The inaccurate double-door and missing gold chrome detail is a small sacrifice for affordability AND a high-quality Ravage (versus the Chinese KO version).

I will be grabbing the other three, however, since I don't have them yet. If the line continues, I'll be picking up only the ones I don't have.

Why is Starscream's canopy a funny color? It doesn't look like any other version I've seen yet...

I have a hunch the next wave will be 3 Autobots and 1 Decepticon :lol:

I noticed that too. It looks to me like TakTomy is releasing only the characters that they know will sell well. These first four are the Transformers that fans remember the best. Outside of Jazz and Bumblebee, what other iconic autobots are there? And who is the next popular decepticon outside of Megs, Soundwave, and Screamer?
