I know this question's been asked before, but this thread is too vast for me to read all the posts.

What's the quality like on the G1 Devastator KO's? And what's a reasonable price for one? I'm thinking about possibly getting one off of eBay.

Indeed. I'd pick him up.

Yayz i got the ko's i ordered at monday.
And i must say they're awesome! Even tho the plastic is a bit crappy and jetfire's landing gear doesn't work like it should, they're ultra cool.
and i finally got myself a PRIME!

Prepare for awesomeness (right click and "open picture"):
Image
Would you recognise these as knockoffs? The eye of my camera made them look even better than they look irl.
My prime has orange windshields. And weapons. And eyes. But they still have the backlighting feature! And there are no springs, yo i have to push the body-side-parts down with my pinky (through the hole where the head sits in alt mode). Yes I know that you can't understand a word what i'm saying here. :-B

Jetfire has an orange cockpit. And has a different head mold (no backlighting feature, face is the same)

The cannon that Jetfire is wielding on the pic is a spring-loaded cannon that came with prime. It fires. And it fires... far enough. But if you push the missile too deep in, it won't fire (you'll have to pull it out, won't do any harm to the cannon itself) (this sentence was soooo double-meaning.)
Jetfire came with a missile for the cannon, buy he can't wield it as a stunstick/spear. It's useless for jetfire.

So now i have a cool cannon with two missiles. wee.
Overall, i rate them 9.7/10

Has anyone had any exparience who the KO G1 Mirage?

Is he worth getting for display or will he snap in two the first time I try to transfom him?

I was looking at on in an online auction and got alittle tempted.

Got my KO METROPLEX today, here's a quick review:

Let me first say that I went into this with very low expectations. My friend overseas again got a better deal on 2 KO Metroplexs rather than 1 so like Wheelie & Cyclonus I got another fairly good deal here thanks to him.

First the stats:
Box: 5 out of 10
Like others have said elsewhere the box kinda sucks. If this is a deal-breaker for you, don't bother with this KO.

Inside Packaging: 9 out of 10
Sturdy Styrofoam, It came all the way from Hong Kong and was not damaged at all.

Instructions, Tech-spec reader, & Stickers: 8
All looked very professional. I had originally intended to buy Reprolabels for it but now I really don't think I need to.

Scamper, Sixgun, & Slammer: 9.75 out of 10
Absolutely excellent quality! Thick great plastic. This company uses some damn good plastic here all the way around. I was shocked!

Metroplex: 9.5 out of 10
Wow, is all I can say. Metro gets a .5 drop for the one real flaw he has IMO: the silver stickers on his upper legs, I don't like them at all.
Besides that, tight ratcheting joints, very thick high quality plastic(almost g1 plastic reminiscent), things snap directly into place. I have never seen a KO with quality like this, I am still so shocked. I am pleasantly surprised.
Mine is all one color BTW, I know there have been ones showing up with 2-tone arms. lol

In retrospect:
My advice to anyone that is thinking of buying this is KO Metroplex(or Metrotitan when it comes out) is this: these are real nice BUT DON'T OVERPAY for one. Keep in mind I got mine for a very good price. I think the prices on these will drop eventually so be patient if you absolutely need one.

Nice to hear that Metroplex it a good item.

But...I still would like to know about the KO's for Devastator, has anybody here had any experience with those, and, if so, what's the quality on those like?

Like I said earlier, I'm thinking about buying one off of eBay...I just would like some info before I decide to go through with my plans ^_^

I have one. They are OK I guess. The molds have been used so many times that some of details(faces) look a bit jumbly at best. No die-cast content obviously. They go together OK but aren't the sturdiest, if you look at Dev wrong he will fall over.

I'm worried that I bought a really good Sky Garry ko. Has anyone out there seen any really good ko's of him? Everything looks exactly, and I mean exactly the same as the original... box, instructions, sticker sheet, parts and the exclusive Micromaster. All the same.

I remember Getterdragun expressing his concerns over a possible good quality Sky Garry ko in an earlier thread. I also remember some of the responses seemed positive in my favor, but I am still concerned.

Edit: I also found an interesting ko from the seller of that Blurr up there.

You mean the slightly oversized Hot Rod with Targetmaster right? You'll have a very hard time finding one now. I bought one a while back and went back to buy another just for the targetmaster and Chimung told me that particular KO has been totally discontinued.

You never know when a KO will be discontinued, always buy them when you have the chance or you'll regret it later. Believe me I know. :(

There's something about him that makes me think that i'd buy him. the mold isn't worth the mone i'd pay for an irogonal bb, so i guess a knockoff is a better option.

Some quick pics of KO Metroplex. The little guys photographed real well. Sixgun & Metroplex, I could not get a decent picture out of.

Slammer:

Scamper:

Sixgun, the best pic I could get of him. You can't see it but there is a nice silver Autobot symbol on Sixguns chest, the flash totally drowned it out:
Image

Metroplex, the colors look like crap in this picture here and it came out way too dark so it doesn't do him any justice:
Image

I'm going to take some better pics in better light later, these don't do this guy any justice unfortunately.

Actually the colors are spot on. Everything that is supposed to be white is white and all that is supposed to be grey is grey.

I don't have a real G1 Metroplex to compare it to color-wise but there is no "2-tone" grey or white on it like other Metroplex KOs I have seen.

I originally was going to pass on this KO, but when my friend approached me about getting one the price was too good to pass up. Now I'm very glad I picked this one up. It's the best KO I own by a longshot.

I just thought that this thread shouldn't only be a thread to show links to KO finds, but also a place to review KO's that you have/recently got. Just like the review of Metroplex a few posts earlier. good idea.

New interesting finds: tiny shoeformers (smaller than keychain BB)
http://cgi.ebay.com/8-pcs-ROBOT-TRANSFE ... dZViewItem
with oversized, wannabe-allspark-power ratchet.

awful colours meantime (a working watch!)
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRANSFORMERS-WRIST- ... dZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/SHARP-TRANSFORMERS- ... dZViewItem

those can't be original. i mean, look at the watches themself. the colours. the symbol. the "push lever down, thingY! where is the lever? :-?
the box is interesting tho...

EDIT: More and more watches! looks like someone decided to steal the mold. At least they decided to make them work as watches! this makes him double-awesome.

I know too. I missed out on buying a Gats Blocker KO and never saw another one.
I say just go for a real one. Don't be discouraged if you see one for a rediculous price. They won't all be that way. If I could get a MIB Starconvoy for 41 bucks total then I'm sure you could find a TM Hot rod for a reasonable price too. You just have to watch and wait.

well I havent been on here in a while since the original thread went down, but here are some pics of the transmetal polar claw ko and transmetal wolfang ko toys I acquired.

Transmetal polar claw:
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7540.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7539.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7538.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7537.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7536.jpg

Transmetal Wolfang:
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7547.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7546.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7545.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7544.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7541.jpg
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee26 ... CN7542.jpg

As you can see polar claw doesn't have a robot arm technically since they combined his slash claw gimmick into his one arm slot....and he doesnt fire a bat anymore. As for Wolfang....both wolf legs are different lengths. One looks like wolfangs and the other k-9's. The tail gun has no handle....and he came with one arrow missile but no way to fire it. Also his head is moulded with the mutant mask. Can you say hybrid head???

Pretty cool for ko's though....the transmetal Dinobot is still better to me =)

Happy New Year all!!!
