I was looking at the KO Reissues on KOToys.com and how in the world could somebody tell them from an actual Reissue!? Because I gotta say, several of them are very tempting.

I haven't seen this one anywhere else so far, but I picked up an oversize (roughly Deluxe sized) KO Cyberjet R-Blade off eBay. It's a fairly decent mold, only a few changes: his head doesn't turn (yet), and the flap behind his head is one piece now, and they added an LED in his cockpit (which I had to remove as it doesn't work (dead batteries, I think)). Pretty sweet. Check my pics here.

I've got that Construction Combiner, there's 3 versions of it, try to get the one without repeating arms and legs. All the figures can be bought separately, but don't come with connector pieces, so buy the one that comes combined. Mike has it here. The Tractor Bot is awesome too, but you can get him separately, just ask him to go find it, I still see it around here.

I think I saw a video review for this once, it looked very cheaply made and didn't stay together very good.

Mine seems ok, but I haven't played with it much, just display. I just picked mine up by the head and shook it a bit, it all stayed together. The plastic seems good for KO's. Maybe the reviewer hadn't had a lot of experience with KO's and was expecting it to be on par with Hasbro stuff.

While preparing to move in to my new apartment, found an old toy bin. It had a couple of old knockoffs I forgot I had, both from the Beast Wars generation.

At first, I got a little excited to find it in my toy bin. A white Armordillo knockoff with blood red claws. Kinda nifty.

And then I found out he lost his head. Aww. Somehow kept all his other parts, though, including his leg-guns. Can't find his head anywhere. :-(

I also found an oversized Transmetal Rattrap in an amusing shade of pink.

Has surprisingly little chrome wear. While my official original red transmetal Rattrap almost has none left and it was stored in the same plastic bin. Huh.

Keep looking, Armordillo's head will turn up, usually when you go looking for something else. If not, there's always eBay. Kinda funny that knock-off has better quality control than the official TM Rattrap, huh?

I think I remember seeing that knockoff rat trap at big lots. I used to have a yellow lio convoy from there.

Anybody know what the quality is like on the mini Superion KO? It looks decently close the original color-wise, and it's cheap, but I know I'd be disappointed if it breaks easily. It would just look really cool alongside my WSTs.

On that note, I know the Predaking KO is significantly larger, but how's the quality on that? I read about missing animal legs, but I suppose that's kind of minor...

Technically, those are not a knockoff. Those were Happywell's foray into legitimate transforming robots. They were original designs and robots.

People thought they were KOs because Happywell had done so many bootlegs and KOs in the past.

This time, they went legit. Can't seem to find them anywhere anymore, though.
