Yeah, that's NOT a knockoff. It's a fully legit, fully liscensed set.

I used to have a ladybug transformer when I was younger. I know it wasn't a genuine transformer. Definitely a knockoff. Anyways, I can't find any info on it. Tried Google and nothing. Anyone know anything about this figure?

Do you have a picture? There was a line called the Convertors or somesuch which had a bug-subline. I have some of them. I used to buy them at Service Merchandise in the 1980s.

Hmmm, no picture. Like I said, I had it when I was a kid, which would've been the 80's.

I should probably URL these. And my old camera wasn't that great.

hasbro has every right to sue the **** out of these guys. the packaging is mainly beast machines and cheetor is on the cover, just poorly drawn. these guys have minicons, tapes and everything. maybe these hasbro probely gave them the right to borrow the idea. idk. i say they should be sued though.

Family Dollar has some Robot Master KOs for $3 a set. They have Star Saber/Victory Leo, the 2 laser cycles and 2 of the cyber jets. Fairly good quality, I highly recommend the Victory Saber set.

Also, Big Lots has a bunch of duel pack G1 combiner KOs. No combiner pieces though. Only the little guys.

Some of these knockoffs are pretty bold in style... It brings me back memories as a child in the early 80's with Transformers and Transformers knockoffs at Toy's R Us... I wish I was young again...

I just bough these KOs

- Devastator (Full size) Green and purple
- Devastator (Full size) Green and black
- Devastator (Mini) Green and purple
- Bruticus (Full size) Mixed colours, some right some wrong
- Defensor (Full size) Colours scheme more realistic to their alt modes but different from G1
- Superion (Full size) Roughly G1 colours
- Menasor (Full size) Colours different from G1 but not too ugly.

I was going to get a Predaking (the same that one pg1) but he just doesnt look any good standing with the other gestalts. Its like he's a totally differnt toy.

Each on cost me less than 1 pound with about 15 pounds all up in shipping.

I'm going to air brush, de-sticker and mod the green and black devastator and see if I can make him a bit more 'real' looking. If I pull it off, I'll do the rest of them too.

Hey! if a Transformer wants to redeco himself pastel blue and gold chrome, and get himself a pink Cyber Key, it's a valid lifestyle choice.

Just got those Robot Masters Star Saber / Victory Leo knockoffs from the local Family Dollar. And despite being the typical brittle knockoff plastic, they're pretty durn cool!

I did NOT know the RM version of Star Saber actually came with his (Powermaster?) little guy, and the knockoffs actually kept it AND kept the combination with Victory Leo, for Victory Saber.

However, how's the size? Did they shrink these guys, too? Individually, they're about the size of a Basic, while the combined Victory Saber mode is a little taller thana Deluxe yet smaller overall than a Voyager.

The Robot Masters Star Saber toy is 13 centimeters tall. Can you post some pictures of them?

Sure, gimme some time. I'll include a shot with a couple Basics and Deluxes for comparison, as well as a photo of the combined mode and the brainmaster mode.

I just got back from a Family Dollar and found them. They are in 3 dollar packs. You get two Robot Masters knockoffs. There is a pack of 2 cyberjets at normal size, or shrunken (Scout size) Laser Cycles (Doubleface and Road Rocket) or Star Saber and Victory Leo.

I just opened the Cyberjets and was very happy to discover that they have all the features (landing gear, etc.) and the best surprise is that the ball joints are NOT LOOSE! They can hold up their arms perfectly. WONDERFUL!

The Cyberjets Delta Seeker and X-Gunner have been recolored so that the grey parts are white. I made took some pictures of them next to a real Hasbro use of the same mold. The only downside to them is the lack of faction symbols and that they only come with one missile each.
