That Mirage KO pack wasn't like this was it?

If it is it's part of a series of Robot Masters KO's that have been turning up in UK Poundland stores. Mine arrived today and while Mirage's pinning (one arm already fallen off) is substandard the other one (Air Hunter) is pretty solid and with a little tidy up and paint work will be a sweet addition to my collection.

I picked up a sweet Optimal Optimus KO, original size, three Devastator KO's one original(cuz it was the last they had) and two minis'.

They also had what appeared to be rough MOVIE figure ko's for Brawl and Bonecrusher.

They also had a Mirage KO two pack with what looked to be like Cybertron Thundercracker but way off.

The Optimal Optimus knockoff (Beast Tech Robot Fighter) is slightly smaller than the original. The I think the ones you think are movie knockoffs are probably the giant military Mini-Cons.

The Mirage knockoff is actually a Robot Masters knockoff set. The jet is a knockoff of Air Hunter.

Yes. The arm did look like it was already falling off of all of them. But they were in robot mode in the two pack box. But the same as this one pictured.

If you can deal with or fix the arms it's a pretty good KO set.
They did 8 bots in that series. 7 Robots Masters (Air Hunter, Mirage/Rijie/Ligier, Optimus Prime, R-Blade/Jetfire, Starscream, Wrecker Hook & Wingstun) and 1 Armada Thrust

I've got Optimus Prime & R-Blade/Jetfire on order, they're oversive and have rubbish LEDs in the chest but should be good for my little boy when he's old enough.

Here is a picture of the back of the box for the Robot Masters that are in Big Lots. There are also 2 color variants of R-Blade (the red and white jet) - one in which with red trim, and one in red with white trim.

I would so grab one of those and call it Jetfire.

EDIT: ...which I would do because apparently it IS Jetfire. Well! :P

He should look like this, but I don't think the seller knows how to transform him.

Even the original doesn't look very sharklike to me! That little visor thing is a poor substitute for a dorsal fin. And where are the TEETH?

He's more of a sharkboat thingy. :)

And Scaleface, I meant to ask -- did that RM knockoff scan come from something you bought a while ago, or was that a recent acquisition? I've been trying to keep away from the local Big Lots, but I find myself really wanting that Jetfire... :P

I bought the Robot Masters Jetfire about 2 months ago. They still had some at my Big Lots. They were early 2007 release. Agglo is the Chinese company which makes tons of Transformers, Power Rangers and Machine Robot knockoffs for Big Lots. I collect all their work.

just wanted to get peoples opinions on these KOs, they will cost me about £15 each ($30) incl p&p:

Combiners...i never had any G1 combiners as a kid, would love to have them for display:
ImageImage
I just wish we had Big Lots here in the UK, i could get both of these for £6...

and as im hoping to get a TRU Comm. Soundwave this weekend:
Image
then ill have one tape of each type (cat, bat, bird and bot)

Are these worth the money, theyll probably be left as display pieces and not transformed much

How's the quality on Rat Bat and Frenzy KO's? I've seen those KO's all the time on eBay and I wanted to buy them, but I'm extremely cautious on the quality of the figures...

Ah, early 2007 for the RM knockoffs? Dang -- looks like I missed out. Ah well!

Robo-Chugster wrote:just wanted to get peoples opinions on these KOs, they will cost me about £15 each ($30) incl p&p...

I've got the Devastator of those Chinese gestalt knockoffs (picked him up in China for 30 yuan) -- I like him, but I definitely wouldn't pay $30 for him even with shipping. Now, $30 for both of those together -- and only if I couldn't get them anywhere else -- would be more acceptable.

Btw, the Big Lots ones are different from these -- the BL knockoffs feel even cheaper than the Chinese sets and their colors tend to be off.

How much are you paying for them? There are some decent prices for Cassetticon knockoffs at agesthreeandup.com (the fixed shipping is also a plus, not to mention that you could easily tack some energon cubes onto your order!), but I can't vouch for their quality. They look good from the pics, though, and apparently one set even contains die cast parts. I'd be tempted to buy some if they'd fit in my Titanium Soundwave. :?

Those Chinese Kabaya KOs have been doing the rounds for a while. I've been getting them from this seller:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/id=266500&ssPa ... MEFS:MESST

He seems to be out of stock on quite a few that he was previously carrying though. The WST sized Headmasters/Masterforce characters and citybots are great as boosters for the WST line. Some of the moulds have held up better than others. Individual auctions from Black Gaines have notes about whether there are any particular problems with a given mould.

well the tapes are also around the £8 ($16) mark, £16 ($32) incl p&p...less expensive than Ages3&up when you add shipping to the UK (which im not sure A3UP do)

As for the combiners, yeah they are a tad expensive, and they probably would be cheaper if i bought a couple at the same time if he combined shipping (which i dont want to do till i have at least one inhand to check the quality myself) but ebay is the only place i know to get these paticular KOs here in the UK, if anyone knows where i can get them cheaper please let me know

Now THIS is what I'm talking about -- remind me to add this guy to my favorite sellers list! I'd been hoping to try my hand at repainting knockoffs and get ahold of some Cassetticons, and picking up some of these would allow me to do both. I imagine they'd be even easier to paint because they come disassembled! Thanks much, waaaaghlord -- I may have a new project on my hands now. :)

Theres some other Biglots knockoffs as well. Theres RID Megatron and Galvatron, and then Beast Wars optimal optimus, transmetal 2 megatron, and some of the small regular figures: ratrap, terasaur, iguanus, spitor, the skunk/badger, a mean looking transmetal bat and a voyager sized transmetal ratrap. They all look nice. a little paint goes a long way. heres some of them.......

True, but the shipping on those bad boys is $30, which would kinda ruin the deal even if I did want them all. (I really only want maybe 2-3 copies of the Rumble/Ravage kit -- one to do Rumble, one to do Ravage, and one to have in case I botch something somewhere. :)) This other seller's only charging $5.50 for up to five kits, as he/she is based in the US (as opposed to Hong Kong).

Yeah -- it seems like the other ones come and go, but these Beast Wars knockoffs are always at Big Lots (and National Wholesale Liquidators, though I f'n HATE that place). I've been pondering picking up that Terrorsaur/Hydra KO with intent to give it a G1 Swoop paint job. :)

Yeah but Me, Robo-Chugster & Waagghlord are in the UK so $30.00 worldwide shipping will probably equate to shipping 2-3 individual ones from the US, that makes it a whole lot more appealing for us.

I've fired a query to the individual Kabaya G1 US guy asking about shipping to the UK and I'll post his response up here as well.
