How come no G1 BB?

Even the keyring one would be a real nice touch.

because hasbro lost the trademark to create vw tfs.
so,classics is the closest we get along the lines of a vw

Then explain the G1 BB keyrings that resurfaced in Walmart during the movie, and are still being sold in side shops everywere as well as in the upcoming Encore minibot set?

Because that would just be over the top!

And I think the Classics one is supposed to represent the G1 version.

I don't think anyone would mind the little guy being thrown in.

Go Classics, G1, Movie, one up it with Action Master, then Animated.

Collectors and kids would freak

no,they would freak if they included ALL of them-
g1 bb
action master
pretender-it actually had racing stripes
g2-gold chrome repaint of g1
goldbug-g1 toy
wst bumblebee-it was red but was named bumblebee
robot master die cast statue
classics ledgend-cyb.hotshot repaint
robot heroes
attacktix
rubber autobot decoy
bottlecap bb-a modle of g1 spike with bb on top of a bottlecap
3d battle card game bb
movie bb
animated bb
classics bumblebee

Your a MiniBot!!!

I'm not being mean with that, I just noticed your posts :P

Lesson time, during G1 in it's earlest days there where small toys like Huffer, BumbleBee, SeaSpray, BeachComber, PowerGlide, WarPath, CliffJumper, Brawn, OutBack, Pipes, Gears, WindCharger, Cosmos...

Hell this list can go on nearly forever!

They where small Autobots and they called them MiniBots. They where a hair smaller than say a combiner limb, but each had it's own characteristics, and all where fun!

Far different from MiniCons(losers), and MicroMasters, they where affordable fodder in many a army.

Now go explore the Galleries and cath up on some good times :D

Like most early Tfs they were from a line previous to TRANSFORMERS called 'Microchange' and they were indeed used to fill a cheaper price point void.

Read this and become filled with more knowledge! Feel the goodness of knowing!

hey tigertracks 24,i read part of the article.i am completely suprised that there were so many transformer guys that were so small, and so cheap.i know mini-con toys ARE stupid, but i have a mini-con called overrun that is a triple-changing targetmaster, but pricewise to get the cool mini-cons you had to buy a larger figure.
but i was born about 10 years after g1 ended,so is there a chance to get a g1 or g1-based bumblebee that is still g1 looking?

You do indeed have a chance. They've made 4 mini bot keychains, and Bumblebee is one of them. I don't know if they are made from the original molds but they are G1. When I found my Bumblebee it was $3 or $4.
The others were Brawn, Cliffjumper, and Windcharger.

Probably E-Bay. You might have luck finding them in stores as well. I found mine at KB Toys and i've seen some at Wal-Marts, but not as of late.

Weapon: Dual Impact Maces
why is there so much hatred towards mini-cons? Minbots are great but there are plenty of cool mini-cons too (and some with better articulation than Minibots).

Probably because half of the episodes of Armada was dedicated to soley collecting 'em, thus the whole "pokeformers" idea of collecting them all. That and how most of the Classics Mini-Cons had sucky altmodes (look at the Shattered glass minicons). I myself want to indeed collect them all, but just a single representative of each mold and avoid repaints of ones I own. Ironicaly, the first repaint of a TF I already own is indeed a minicon, but a friend gave it to me, so I took it anyways.

Say, how did the topic turn to mini-cons? There's no BB mini-con, or any BB present in the Unicron Trilogy/Armadaverse.

Somebody was bashing minicons and calling them worthless compared to minibots.

Armada Prime's minicon Sparkplug seemed like a BB tribute to me. :P

And minicons suck. Big time.

Hmmmm, does anyone know the predicted cost for this pack? $40 is my limit, although is the same pricing for the movie sets are used, it should be $30 since all three figs are deluxes.

good. Three rather neat BB figures, including one exclusive redeco, for less. Sounds good to me

Okay....I'll bite, how is a Bumblebee with black stripes instead of white worth buying a 25 dollar set? You could do that with a permanent marker and some masking tape :P

Seriously though, the Premium Bumbles has my eye...like the battle mask mold oodles better than his boring happy face :)

Probably because if you try to buy the Classics version now, it would probably cost $25 just for him alone at least. This way, at least you get 3 BB's.
