someone on another site pointed out that the young girl in this picture resembles the mastersword.

coincidence, or truth?
In my opinion, I think that it does have something to do with the sword.
your thoughts?

I admit, there appears to be a few similarities, but it doesn't mean anything. You know how Midna's mask resembles Majora's Mask? You know how they are completely unrelated?

The only slight similarity between those two masks are the eye designs.

And the only slight similarities between that girl and the Master Sword are the markings on her legs and torso. Even that gem is unremarkable, it's both far too common an object, and it doesn't even look like the gem near the hilt of the Master Sword. Plus I'm not seeing any of the other similarities that picture points out.

I think if she were meant to be connected to it in some way there would be something more distinct. Maybe if the gem on her chest was yellow like on the Master Sword I could see it. If she is connected to it maybe she's the one who forged it, or she's a spirit inhabiting the sword like Raziel with the Soul Reaver.

Whatever. There's not enough proof that she's related to the Master Sword, other than a few minor details in her design. There's no point arguing about it since we don't know anything about it.

EDIT: And I should point out, several of the similarities that first image points out, particularly the gold markings on her torso and the "fishnet" markings on her legs, only exist on the master Sword as it appeared in Twilight Princess. The designs in Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker all lacked that. Her head also looks a lot more like the Great Fairy in Wind Waker.

She's more like Link's love interest than the actual Great Sword... Oh wait, aren't they one in the same?

Hehehe, nah, I joke. Can't wait for this game. I can't deduce anything from one picture so I think I'll skip this debate.

Boo! Zombie thread. E3 is fast approaching. Let's hope we get some concrete info and not just, " oh yeah, we're still working on it". I'm personally hoping for a Fall 2010 release.

Well they said they plan to release it "late 2010." I'd put good money on some info showing up at E3, and I wouldn't put it past them to meet a 2010 release date.
