I think it will come down to whatever the Chinese fans want. They come in through a different medium than Faebook so we don't really know how they'll vote. Unless you're in China, I don't think any of us really know what is and isn't popular in there.

When was the last time we had a Trypticon figure that wasn't a repaint? Oh, that's right, NEVER. It is Trypticon's time to shine!

Unfortunately, I am betting Hasbro already decided the outcome before this poll even started and has a Scorponok mold prepped and ready to go. He fits with the Titans Returns aesthetic more than Trypticon ever could.

The other problem with a Trypticon mold is that it wouldn't have any utility to be able to be used for another character, even with heavy remolding.

I do wish that Hasbro would get to work on releasing a Predaking and Piranhacon combiner sets.

I dont get the titans return argument. We had combiner wars so we had a combiner titan, we have titans return so we have For Maximus who is a double headmaster. There is a third theme in the trilogy we dont know yet. Why would we be getting 2 headmasters in a row when For Max is already the titan for that line?

No doubt it would be, BUT, Trypticon may be the lowest vote there, once both votes are added together it could make a difference.

The poll specifically says it is a SECOND Titans Returns line Titan - they also said that they plan to make 1 new mould titan a year now rather than per line (so the gap after Metroplex won't happen so long as the idea still sells).

Also Titan's returns will still be going in 2017 when the Titan after Fort max releases as it will only have barely started in 2016 - 2017 is it's main "full" year the opposite to Combiner Wars that had a full year as front end and then a half year tail.

Titans Returns has a half year head and the One year tail.. with the bulk of releases likely to appear in the 2nd year period through 2017.

"Unless" they massively front load the line to get toys on shelves for Xmas and then petter it out pre-Xmas 2017 but if you take your year from 3rd Quart 2016 to 3rd Quarter 2017 that is when the main bulk of the line will lay and that is the point of capture spread that is most likely for both Titans in the line with Fort Max near the front end and the 2017 one near the tail.

HOWEVER : I can see it being more likely that Scoponok would actually see shelves in a Titans Returns box than Trypticon or Omega, for them I would hold off making such a supposition for reasons that for all we know the next line might be way more suitable for either than the TF:TR line may be causing them to Frontload the combiner as part of the forthcoming 3rd part of the Trilogy in 2018.

For example if the 3rd series line is heavily focused on Beasts then pre-branding Trypticon would make a lot of sense and also allow them to avoid having to make him a Headmaster too (if only as it's extra cost).

Where as selling Scorponok makes best sense when used for Titan Returns so he would likely be branded as such as he 100% fits the theme unlike Trypticon and Omega who would being shoehorned into what ever the theme might be be it Titans Returns branding or a preview product release of the 2018 line theme.

Asian market could easily sell a Trypticon mild remould as a Beast Wars 2nd Gigastorm homage.

It has to do with the fact that Trypticon looks awesome; I was introduced to him via war within, so a 'G1' derpy looking one is not on my radar >:oP

Scorponok: Personally I like Scorponok because of the Marvel comics, he was a lot more fleshed out there than in the cartoon and had an almost Dinobot-esq death. (and I want him more than Trypticon because he would go great with Powermaster Optimus)

Honestly, I got what I wanted from Victorion. And I cannot wait for her. Both she and Windblade were very cool and I am glad I got to vote for them.

She's an odd thing ; the Water Melon deco shouldn't have looked bad, it looks flippin' terrific on Rapido after all.

The issue is that they didn't break those colours up with some other accents of say silver or grey - they slapped big blocks of colour on her making here look like a giant duel flavoured fruit confection.

I also think the 2 Helicopters thing was a kinda terrible idea when both of them are practically identical - yes they slightly mirrored the deco them but it's so very subtle you don't even notice it at first glance.

Personally I'd have liked a green helicopter with red accents and a red Helicopter with green accents. as they did with the cars.

I don't actually hate her at all I actually really like the new accessories - I do however think that people voted for that colour scheme and the (apparently) final toy just seems a little off to some people in the execution of the colours - not just to me.

I would say that is slightly represented in the 2016 Smokescreen Combiner Wars toy - the 1st time we all saw it it looked decent at 1st glance but the more detail you see the more you notice how most of the paint has gone into painting the body panels leaving a toy pretty bare of details.

Another example of this is the ever decreasing paint aps on the Legends class "seekers" each one has slightly less paint than the previous one.

I see a lot of toys that are starting to look not quite right as the paint that is missing is skirting close to being essential applications that are regularly missing now.

For Victorion that little extra paint she doens't seem to have just may have made the difference between her looking bland and odd and her looking dynamic and unified.

So yes I'm a little disappointed - but not disinterested - she just happened to get kicked a little further down the wants list as a result.

At the moment I guess I am a little more interested in the G2 stuff as that will suit my play patterns better and they should be a lovely complement to the Funpub Euro/G2 items of past times.

The only reason I would like Scorponok before Trypticon is to allow customer feedback to potentially have a positive effect on brand quality in the extra time - and just maybe allow them to bed in better in Vietnam and maybe that might have a positive effect too.

But I may be horribly mistaken and product quality may continue to nose dive while prices soar over the next decade as much as I might wish it was otherwise. if that happens then maybe it's a case of get it while the gong is good and before large toys over-price themselves out of existence.
