After a steady stream of 11 new Masterpiece figures between November 2015 and April 2016, it just dawned on me that there are no new Masterpiece figures scheduled for this month. Or next month. Or in July 2016. Yikes! Nothing new until August? Seems odd after they've been slamming them out for the past 6 months.

If I'm not missing something, then it might be time for me to catch up on galleries for Takara Tomy's MP-11T Thundercracker, Gold Megatron, and Black Rodimus Convoy at long last. I think once I finish those galleries, I'll have galleries of everyone except for the absurdly overpriced Masterpiece BAPE Convoys.

Lack of supply = people want what they can't have. I'm not into those color schemes but the fact that I can't buy them without dropping around $2,000 for the current pair means I want them more than I should, but not enough to spend more than regular absurd prices on them (ala EVA Convoy, for example).

If MP Black Tracks isn't a TTS exclusive this summer I will spray paint my book style reissue G1 Tracks* black and throw it in the garbage.

Also, very glad I watched Red MP BAPE Convoys like a hawk this fall and got a legit one under $500.

*It smells like cigarettes and shame and if the current attempt doesn't fix it I'll probably toss it anyway.

Smoke smell should go away just by letting the plastic be in a non-smoke environment. I've bought many collections over the years that smell like "smoke", particularly vintage Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collections, and the smell seems to go away just by having them out of that environment.

$500 is still an absolutely absurd price even for the green BAPE Masterpiece Convoy. I'll get them when I can get them for $300 or less. Which probably means never, but I'll pass on them for that price. I'm not even a big fan of Masterpiece MP-10 Convoy.

I hope Soundwave gets reissued. He's the only MP figure I'm really craving. I don't even collect MPs, I just have MP-01, MP-08, and MP-28. No new MPs should be an opportunity for older ones to see 2nd (or even 3rd) release.

I think Soundwave has already been reissued once, though. It's not an impossibility to get another reissue of him, but I think the odds are getting slimmer.

Even so, he's so popular, and the 2ndary market for him is so high, Takara would still be making ridiculous bank. It really is 1 of the best (if not THE best) MP mold there is, IMO. Even Soundblaster sold rather well, IIRC.

Yup. Even my 2ndary market source in Japan, no MP Soundwave in stock.

In ebay, he's like $370.00 up. Either TT or Hb version. And to think SW also go his share of put downers............. :-P
