Well Will that was just day one...

Buying some loose figures from a super awesome board member has enlightened me to the loose figure awesometasticness.

Everything I got was loose unless it has been shown here in package. With the exception being QT Ironhide, he was new.

Pretty much everything I got was at or below retail. Cash and buying multiple items from the same seller helps get you a little discount. The later in the day on Sunday the lower the prices get but so do the pickens.

The Japanese sellers had some awesome takara and random stuff. But honestly almost every dealer had some great stuff. Your mind would have been blown. My head was spinning.

My TF room (the botcave if you will allow it) has become sort of a dumping ground for stuff. I decided to clean up a bit and setup a new and improved spot to take pictures. I went in with one intention, but came out with something completely different.

I decided to snap a few shots of my new figures; some from Botcon, some from the randomness that is the internet. All shots are straight from the camera with no post processing. I've been feeling like just putting it all out there lately; being exposed, naked, not hiding behind a photo editor. I'm shooting with a "new to me" lens. A fully digital "kit lens" that has a small zoom. I've been wanting to take some close-ups and my go to standard 80mm just doesn't allow close-ups on small subjects. I tried using the full auto settings while adjusting the lighting, that didn't last long. I went straight to full manual settings with manual focus after the camera wanted to hem and haw on taking a picture. Guess I'm just a control freak.

Well anyway, here is a bunch of stuff. I hope you enjoy!

First up, my Botcon souvenir set, Refelctor. I didn't want any of the Botcon exclusives at first, but then I felt an overwhelming need to have something from the Botcon I went to. I've been very happy with these guys and have enjoyed them quite a bit. They just look cool standing at Devastator's feet along with Rumble, Frenzy and Ravage.

I picked up Road Block on a random whim from Amazon on the cheap. He has also become one of Devastator's crew.

The twins and their new friend. Frumbles are fun figures, but I'm not impressed with Ravage. Probably over-hyped; I prefer the MP version. Glad to have him and his green buddy, though.

Speaking of green, here's Hound. The figures from this time frame have yet to disappoint.

It's not easy being green, so why not splash a bunch of garish orange and skull face it up. Why hello Bludgeon!

Decepticons, smepticons. We need some 'Bots on the scene and fast... oh look its Blurr. Don't you have a bar to run somewhere?

Blurr is a cool figure but one of the primary reasons I got him was to power up Perceptor.

Let's get a few more 'Bots out of the way. Next is Red Alert and animated Jazz.

Something about this guy is just off, but I cannot put a finger on it.

Jazz on the other hand is really cool. A fun, sleek almost ninja like warrior. I love the animated aesthetics and I cannot wait to get more. The rabbit hole, I might be falling in it.

One of my favorite Botcon pickups is mini grumpy gills Ironhide. I just love his wee frowny face. Check him with his partner in crime.

Get 'em boys!

Human sacrifice, Autobots and Decepticons living together... mass hysteria! The odd couple, Strafe and Sunspot. I have yet to try and figure out how to pull off the fan combined mode. I'm just happy with them brightening up my shelves for the moment.

And that makes a perfect segue into Decepticon territory. I picked up a classics conehead at the suggestion of a fellow plastic peddler Cobotron. I nabbed Thrust on the last day off of a table of random figures. I was really impressed with the mold and I'm glad I got one. But like most gateway figures, I now want them all....

Tip of the iceberg my friend, just the tip he said....

And last, but certainly not least, my favorite pickup from Botcon - Ratbat. Super cool figure, great paint, awesome articulation and some spectacular weapons storage. I'm not sure if the figure is as awesome as I'm telling myself or if it was just all the trouble I went through to get him.

It's time I invested in some proper flight stands. For the time, he will just use the borrowed figma stand.

Interesting, and I don't know if it's just my monitor, but Devs and Roadblock came out looking so yellow. That green is tough to photograph.

Fun trip down memory lane to see your haul again. I was there and got to see Cary's little face light up with excitement with each acquisition. I even nudged and pushed on few.

Glad I could be your spirit coyote on some of that journey.

No some of those pics are off. They look different on the camera to the computer to my phone. I think I'm going to try to do all my pics from here out just in camera.

I needed to adjust the color levels on the camera to kill some of the yellow.

It felt good to be snapping pics again, in didn't realize how much I missed it. I had a different project in mind, but didn't feel like putting in that much effort after cleaning up. I hope to get back in again this weekend.

Push and nudge you did and I appreciate it. It was nice to have a spirit guide though the jungle of plastic.

I wish I would have taken more pics while I was there, but what can you do?

Red Alert is missing a rocket launcher on his shoulder! Just separate the exhaust gun from the intake manifold part and peg it in to his shoulder. Boom.

Sideswipe always looked weird too. Sunstreaker worked well, and I really wish I didn't sell that dang toy now!

Well I got back in and did some things. I finally did the thing that I've been trying to do, but I also did a little sumpin' else.

To celebrate my good buddy Cram's latest acquistion I decided to take a pic of Jetfire. He and TCracker did some weapon swapping. I guess JF isn't that far removed from the ranks of the seekers after all.

And for my new friend Logan, one of my favorite subjects, Bulkhead.
