I think D hit the nail on the head. You just got to find a figure/character that speaks to you. I was just getting into the MtMtE series and something about Swerve just resonated with me. Actually the entire rag tag misfit group that seems to orbit him. You'll see who my favs are in a bit.

The Gen Swerve figure is great. Fun and easy to transform; nice, tight and compact for travel. If you haven't noticed, I'm on the road a lot. One could even say that I'm #ontheroadwithswerve :lol:

Some fun and interesting convos you guys started here and I wouldn't mind digging a little deeper.

...got me thinking. Sometimes I do wanna swap things up. Take a TM with me or a deluxe figure that has better articulation, but I just couldn't leave Swerve behind. I started this project with a different hashtag #swervesquest, but it just didn't have the same ring as #ontheroadwithswerve. No, Swerve is my little buddy, traveling companion, my road dog, a little plastic version of myself but he is also his own person with his own characteristics. He's curious and gets into messes or just a trouble maker, an unlucky dolt and a sometimes spot light hogger.

I was just humoring the idea of who if anyone could fill Swerve's shoes.

Now let me share with you just how invested in Swerve that I am.

This is my main crew when it comes to the Lost Light, the misfits.

Nope, you're not seeing double. I have two Swerves. One minty one for the shelf and one with a few customizations, beatered and bears the scars of living on the road.

Anyone ever watch any Kid and Play movies back in the 90's.

I know we got some younguns here so how about a visual reference?

Nope, I've had him for some time now. I'm surprised you never saw him in some background shots. The chest sticker is repro though.

It's an aight figure, but not worth writing home about. A novelty figure at best... like Valvotron 8-}

Yeah, some kind of promotional figure with Chevy and a test drive of an Aveo (which is his alt mode and a damn good representation at that) or so I've heard. I got it off the secondary market on a mad Swervey whim for an ok price. Articulation is lacking. Can't say I'd recommend rushing out to get one either. Pretty cheap here and there now a days, maybe on Ali. Watch out for KOs though.

The only promo-bot I ever got was a pair of Nikes that came with Megatron (and a mini-football lol). I sold it all to my best friend for what I paid, but he hasn't worn the shoes either.

You know me, I got bots in different area codes :lol:

I like Stormshot a lot. Such a tight jet mode and very clever use of his arms as intakes. The legs are great as well, no hollow parts, just looks good. Very CW Aerialbot 2.0. I only wish his head could hide better in altmode, just spinning around backwards would have been nice. It spins but gets in the way.

He is very posable in bot mode and looks sharp. Those colors really pop and give a sense of justice. Speaking of the Aerialbot, they could learn a thing or two from how nice that backpack folds up. He also comes with some cool pew pews, but he will not be keeping that sweet pistol. That'll make the rounds with the legend class bots.

Not going lie to ya, I kinda want to spray paint him silver and call him Leader-1 :shock:

A super cool, fun and clever figure. Highly recommended ;)^

I'll wait for the Decepticon repaint..if there is one..! Also! Funny you mention Repro and peeling off the sticker. I do peel the sticker off, but I placed it under the rear decklid on Bumblebee and under the roof on Strongarm, just so I can scan them into the mobile game thing still :lol:

You know what the better option would be? Stick them on a index card or something. BUT I did that so they are still on the bot somewhere. COMPLETENESS!!
