My answer is that it is better to have had and lost. I would have rather experienced a thing and then pass that thing along to someone else. Other wise you'll never know.
Regrets vs FoMo isn't a fair question, two different types of anxiety.
I'll stick to my guns that the wants are better than the haves.
Regrets, FoMo and only choosing one thing to keep are all hard concepts for the collectors mind. I'd just like thoughts from my fellow collectors.

I think it's better to have loved and lost, though -- if it has gotta go, perhaps there was not a whole lotta love lost afterall....
Another pain will be to package them up with weapons, instructions, etc., cuz I definitely keep it all. I only started keeping some packaging....but I'm pretty sure those figures aren't going anywhere.

Experiences are the building blocks of happiness.
With Transformers? When your in here, the hype train is loud, fast, and alluring. FoMo can take hold of the brain and give it an anaconda squeeze, but ultimately, they are just toys, or collectables. Material objects that have no bearing on the real world other than the joy or distraction the may bring.
I do love a joyous distraction from the real world, but ultimately I can handle, "never have had at all".

You ring?

As for your deeper question: I would rather have had the experience than having the regret of having never experienced it at all. It truly helps show you what is the best to you, so you feel you got to sample every plate and settled for the best wedding cake to keep.

He's actually the only one I've tried, and that's because I saw Cary's request. I didn't know how well any others would look on him considering his intricate detailing

Power of the Primes Battletrap aka Battleslash and Roadtrap
Posted by no-one Sun May 13, 2018 2:35 pm
I was going get these guys, then I wasn't then I did. Glad I did - waffles are so **** tasty
Honestly, they could have skipped bot mode altogether and just sold them packaged together. Both are derpy, but in that fun derpy toy kinda way. We got wide hips sink ships and big feet mc'noback! Tunicopter is my stand out as the more fun of the two but only because they guy who is basically just a pair of jeans with a peg-head only has half an alt-mode and can't help but split apart and try to become jorts.
Anyway pics!

These guys are as much fun apart as they are together, but they are both self-conscious about their robutts or lack thereof

Alt-modes are fun, but Roadtrap's front wheels don't roll well and vehicle gets worse by thirds towards the back. I do like Battleslash a lot and after some fiddling I can get a good spin from flicking his rotor. but don't we all?
I really wanted to share that they can join in alt-mode (ala G1) and then form Battletrap and even have a G1ish mode.

this is where baby bots come from

Got some serious balance issues, I'm using the rotor to prop him up.

I barely feel like I'm trying here.

Battletrap is a little fiddly and the legs un-peg a lot, but he can really pull some cool poses. I do wish he came with some weapons though. What the hell Hasbro, just carve a little more metal out of them molds will ya

Well small until you compare him to small deluxes.

But still, it was $20!
I had "big head" mode on for the last figure I did a spread on. I think I turned on pinhead mode for this one.

Oh no, big head mode is still on.

No shoes, no shirt, no service!

Shirt: "well now what?"
Jeans: "is that a rotor or are you just happy to see me?"
Shirt: "well I do know where your head is going..."

And
Battletrap is seriously a lot of fun, glad you got him and like him! Have you fiddled with Battleslash's robot mode arms in Battletrap mode? There are several configurations for different looks and posability options

I've mucked around a bit, but the default works well enough for me. I do bend them towards the body and try make them hold that damn rotor in place with friction. Nothing has really jumped out me as better though.

Well, I do know there is at least another configuration or 2, but this is the one I like the most. Provides waist clearance, but does limit the shoulder backwards motion some.

I think Qwan uses a different one yet, and there is one where the arms are a lot further back, but that may be the one Qwan uses, it's hard to remember

When I first got theduo I really wanted a way to have the rotor cross the body like that
I Googled around a bit and saw a way I did try which was basically the arms folded like copter mode, but that stuck way out. I saw peaugh did it your way as well, but at first had the arms twisted in so they would lock. While I liked that it put too much pressure on the rotor for my tastes and really limited movement.
The V behind the back is the way to go, thanks.

Here's what I got trying to get back to what D showed.

I call this form "Sheathed Katana Style".
I like the D method better, which I got originally from Peaugh. I like that the blades can spin, but the shoulder obstruction is a tad lame.
Care, as for the front wheels not rolling, on Slacks there. Do you have the wheels hinged down and pegged into his fists?
It took me a minute to get there, but it fixed the not rolling problem I was having.

I like the V, but the arm restriction bugs me, but the cross rotor look and being able to spin it outweigh the slight lose of articulation.
As far as Pants McGee, yeah it's all pegged correctly, the wheels are just tight and barely move even when I spin them with my fingers. Not a problem because I never vroom my figures around the floor anyway. It was just a thing of note.

When I tried the arms down, sheathed rotor I smooshed them together too tight. I saw that yours had the arms spread a bit with them angled in. This gives a little play in the rotor. I gave it a try and tightened it up just a bit. I much prefer how tight the backpack is. Anyway this is my go at it. I also did the V above, but it's literally no different than D or peaugh.

I don't think you need to be in a big rush at this point. I've seen plenty of ShirtPants on pegs at Wal-Mart, but have yet to see them at Target. I feel you have plenty of time if you change your mind.
They are pretty cool bots in their own right and really shine when combined. Having the back arms peg so nicely really elevates this unique combiner just a few notches higher. They are an easy recommendation
