Kinda like what towns to avoid, where are taxes high, etc. We have two young sons, one of which would start kindergarden next year, so schools are a factor too. Any help is appreciated, feel free to PM if you don't want to clog the sightings forum!
Thanks!!

The Thomasville location isn't doing much better either. However, their 12 pegs for Deluxe figures are full as well as the back endcap, also on Roll-Back for $10.00. The shelf for the Voyager Class figures had about 8 figures and there was a even mix of Stratospheres, Megatrons, Ratchets, and one Bludgeon. During several trips in the past I was able to get the most recently released Scouts and Legends in this store, but that was about it.
But the silver lining to this gray cloud is that I hit the Salisbury Wal-Mart Super Center last week and I was able to find Deluxe Ratchet, Deluxe Brawn, and Voyager Mindwipe. They have the Voyagers on Roll-Back for $19.97 and the Deluxes on Roll-Back for $9.00. Sweet! However, no sign of Voyager Defender Optimus Prime, Deluxe Lockdown, Deluxe EVAC, Deluxe Rampage (Red), or Deluxe Strike Mission Sideswipe. Now if this store can get the merchandise into their store, how come the Thomasville and Lexington locations can not?

To ^, if the same stuff is on the shelf, they've probably got the newer stuff, merely haven't put it out due to the old stuff just... sitting there.
Have you tried the Super Wally off of 150/Peters Creek? That's not very far from Lexington/T-ville.

Most of mine is boxed up/in storage, otherwise I would. Blame it on trying to stay mobile.
I'd like to think I have a pretty baller collection though. Getting close to the 1500 mark here

That's just it, the "old stuff" is selling at the Lexington store especially with the new roll-back price. Since that post, the Lexington Wal-Mart Deluxe pegs are either down to one Deluxe to a peg or no Deluxe figure at all. Though the Voyagers aren't on Roll Back, there's plenty of room for about two cases of Voyagers. It just looks sad.
As for the Thomasville store, they still have the endcap with Deluxes, but it's dangerously thin to the point that the figures could just about be worked around to the main Transformers aisle pegs.
The concept of just holding new stuff in the back and not putting it out doesn't make sense. You can't sell it if it's in the back in storage. Common sense should tell them the newer stuff would sell because, duh, it's newer and no one has it and thus it would sell. But I've learned things that make sense usually don't happen.
I don't make it to Winston-Salem often, but I did go there a couple of months back when I was on the hunt for Animated Arcee at the Toys R Us. I managed to go to the Super Wal-Mart there, but it turned up nothing. Thanks for your suggestion.
I've all but given up on the Lexington Wal-Mart getting in new Transformers for now. Their pegs have looked like this for months now and nothing's being done about it. A few months back one of the employees told me that the previous Toy Department manager quit and they've not found anyone willing to take her place. Maybe if the job paid more.
I recently ordered Lockdown from Target online and I've about decided against buying Voyager Class Defender Optimus Prime. It's like the fifth repaint of that mould since the first movie and I'm simply burnt out on it. The only Deluxes I lack from this wave are EVAC and Rampage (Red).
Update 5/27/10: I was just in the Lexington Wal-Mart Super Center and there are a total of 5 Deluxe figures hanging on 9 pegs, leaving 4 of those pegs void of anything. There are a total of 3 Voyagers (2 Megatrons and 1 Stratosphere). The Scout pegs are full, but of the older waves while the Legends pegs are virtually empty except for maybe a total of 8 figures. I think it's time I contacted the home office and complain that either this particular store isn't ordering Transformers, storing them up in the stockroom for after the roll back deal ends, or the regional warehouse isn't getting Transformers in and aren't able to fill orders.
I forgot to mention that Star Wars action figures are on Roll-Back too to $4.50, but this Wal-Mart store's been ordering them and keeping the pegs full, just not the Transformers.

By the way, I sent the Wal-Mart corporation a complaint e-mail concerning the lack of ROTF toys at the Lexington store a few weeks back, but I've not heard back from them.
However, the Thomasville Wal-Mart Super Center still has its nine pegs full of Deluxe figures and an endcap that still has at least 30 Deluxe figures as well. Unfortunately, there haven't been any sightings of the latest wave of Deluxe ROTF figures (Brawn, Ratchet, EVAC, Lockdown, Red Rampage, or Strike Mission Sideswipe) or Voyager ROTF figures (Defender Optimus Prime or Mindwipe).
Both Wal-Marts still have their Deluxe figures on Roll-Back to $9.00 and their Star Wars action figures on Roll-Back to $4.50 (which neither store seems to be able to get anymore in stock of either).

I'd all but given up on the Lexington Wal-Mart, so it's been at least two weeks since I checked their Transformers section in the toy department. I was, however, there last night and you can imagine my surprise when I saw four Deluxe Ratchets and three Deluxe Brawns. I suspect they received approximately two cases late last week or this past weekend and these are all that are left of those two cases. Of course, I already have the four main Deluxe figures that came in this wave as I bought them over a month ago. As long as it took for this Wal-Mart to get in a new shipment, I suspect that these cases didn't come with Deluxe EVAC or Deluxe (red) Rampage. But now I know that I need to return to checking on this location a little more routinely.
Still no new wave Voyager Class figures of Mindwipe or Defender Optimus Prime on the shelf, though I already have a Mindwipe. In fact, this particular Wal-mart is stocking that Bumblebee costume-type thing on the shelf instead.

The Arcees are kinda behind a pole at the front of one of the isles and I missed them several times... but they are there.

I also agree with AutobotMR2. Check out Memory Lane Comics. I know they have an orginial Megatron in stock and some other great deals.
Thanks!

NOBODY HAS ANYTHING!!!!!! I'm looking for the Generation's stuff with Red Alert, Blurr, Cybertron Prime and the like. Has anyone seen anything OTHER THAN Prime, Bumblebee, Thrust, and Drift? Why are they not doing anything with this line?

I finally replied to your PM today on this subject. I'm telling you, check www.hasbrotoyshop.com for these items, though being this close to Christmas, the majority of these items are sold out. The same goes for the selection of Transformers on the www.walmart.com website as well. I've done site-to-store on many of those characters. I'm just waiting on the 2011 stuff to hit the sites now.

I did note that Wal-Mart is carrying a generic $10.00 transforming robot that is approximately Leader Class size or maybe a hair smaller. So far it looks like all the figures are land vehicles, mostly cars, with one being a bulldozer or something along those lines. I didn't buy one, so I'm not sure of the quality, but at $10.00 they quality can't be good. On the other hand, it's only $10.00.

I spotted a Red Alert, a Skullgrin, and a Dirge (of which I bought because this one had the triangle in the head piece on the Decepticon insignia whereas the first Generations Dirge I purchased did not have the triangle).

Now it's February 2011 and still no new Transformers at my local Wal-Mart. I plan on hitting the Wal-Mart in Thomasville next week to see what they have on their pegs. But otherwise, I've pretty much given up hope on the Lexington location as I don't think they ever hired a new toy department manager after the last one they had quit years ago. Now I hear that instead of a department manager for each department, a department manager covers about two or three departments.
Anyway, like I said, I'd given up on this location and decided to just order the most recent Transformers releases from www.hasbrotoyshop.com. I may have to pay more, if only because of shipping costs, but at least I get the item. If I wait for this store to get new Transformers in, the line would be discontinued before I got all the figures.

The only thing I've noticed is more Blurrs have made it out.
Todd, you seem to have the same path as I do and that Lex WM is sad. There is a whole empty section. PM me if you see anything. I'm thinking any day now they will stock some new cases.

Still no new Deluxe figures at the Wal-Marts in Lexington or in Thomasville. In fact, both stores have a section of pegs meant for Generations that are completely empty. And from what I've read from those of you that managed to hit other stores in the area, it's the same story. NOTHING! No new anything from any of the Classes.
