Even with Powerglide being an Ultra he's a bit small for an A-10. I did the math once and his original toy should stand about 50 feet tall if it was the size of a real A-10. He's about the same size as the official hights of RiD Ruination in combined mode!

Prior to these pics I only planned on getting Prowl, but after seeing them and even though they are not in color, I must have them all! Usually August is all about my birthday but these give me even more reason to celebrate!

Wow, whatta scoop! I'm totally stoked for these. Prowl is the best of the bunch. Can't wait for the Smokescreen version(please not an overpriced convention exclusive).

However, it's a mixed bag. Tankor is a heap of junk in plane mode. Powerglide's alt mode is similarly weak. Onslaught is solidly cool, but too much of a deviation from G1 for my tastes.

To be honest, they feel more like Energon/Cybertron homages to G1 than what I'd like Classics to be. I feel they overdid it with all the paneling and intrusive detail. It's not what I'd call tasteful. Jizaitoys have a more pleasing aesthetic.

The video was awesome. They really oughta do a movie or tv show in that style at some point.

OMG, those look fanTASTIC!!! I love the cars, they resemble real ones (Lamborghini Gallardo and Nissan 350Z, for starters). And Tankor looks pretty kibble-free in all modes, too.

Less excited about Onslaught's alt mode than his bot mode, but I'm getting all these guys one way or another. Hasbro does it again!

The only one I'd even hesitate a little bit with getting is Powerglide.

I love these! And think of all the repaints possible. But which ones will be released in retail and which will only be available at BotCon 09. :twisted:

I can even see Prowl as Jazz. Just give him a new head and a big spoiler.

Why is everyone complaining about Powerglide being too big? His toy may have been a minibot, but he was pretty big in the toon. Here look:

If they only would have transformed them correctly like that in the TFCC pix.

I have more faith in Powerglide now and I LOVE Prowl.

Transforming them correctly makes a huge difference.

This should get the folks who think Hasbro doesn't do squat for fans. These are frekin sweet. They even tell us how they did them. Plus Hasbro put up an Awsome video clip.

The video makes me think. Is Hasbro thinking something for the 25th aniversary of the movie. Maybe....

Out of the bunch, prowl takes the cake. I'm glad too, as he'll be the most re-painted. Sunstreaker is growing on me, but Sideswipe will just look better. I like how they explained design thoughts and processes behind development. Tankor, Powerglide, and Onslaught all look fantastic as well. I'm almost glad he's not a combiner, it would kill his new image I would like to think.

Damn it, I just put myself on a new budget. Looks like I have to make some room.

I have to say, I will not miss out on these this go around. I had numerous opportunities to pick up various Classics and always figured I'd get them on clearance for pennies. Not so. I will definitely snag a prowl. Since I have Sunstreaker's Alternator, I'm not in a hurry. The only triple-changer I ever had was Astrotrain, though my brother did have Blitzwing and the Autobot dunebuggy/helicopter dude.

Can't wait to see what's in the next wave.
