old metal ball transformers?
I have this old all metal ball that transforms into a lion I can see no marking as to who or what it might be, so I turn to Y'all, I know someone here has a clue as to what this might be thanks for your help.

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. What you have is a so-called Meteor Robo, namely Metal Leo.
Meteor Robos were part of Microman, one of the two parent lines of Transformers. As their name (somewhat) implies, they change from little metallic meteors into either a robot, condor or lion, and came in either silver or gold. They went unused for Transformers until Beast Wars II, when they were turned into key chains and renamed Egg Beasts:

If you can't find any markings at all (it should say Takara 1974 or something), it may be a KO, but that doesn't make it any less impressive.

Some of them would eventually be repurposed into Unicron's minions in KissPlayers.

Yeah, that particular lion mold has been used three times in Transformers:
Beast Wars (Japan) - Eggleo (1998)

Beast Wars (Japan) - Dark Eggleo (1998)

Kiss Players - Angela (2007)
