Old toy I'd like to ID
Old toy I'd like to ID

I couldn't find a date or company on it but it could have been on the missing wings. Also it obviously connected to a larger part at the rear there is a hole for a about a 3/8 peg it releases with the yellow button. Although the piece here forms one single robot. Any help with an ID would be appreciated.

(I suspect we will find a Bandai logo)

Accidentally.

Google'ing the text 'Abega Denjin' led me to this wiki site for an anime called 'Lightspeed Electroid Albegas'.
In turn, this led me here, which shows you exactly what this toy is and looks like complete: Godaikin Abega! And just like Amelie predicted, it was made by Bandai.

That's some good sleuthing! To add to this, it's most likely the toy was purchased as part of the Voltron line, since Abega toys were released domestically intending to be part of the third Voltron series that never happened.

GOtta agree there. Excellent sleuthing. I'm very impressed with both of you. I personally would not have had a clue how to find out info on that particular toy. Let alone the extensive info provided.

Impressive how you found this. I remembered watching couple episodes of that cartoon when I was a child. I love it's theme song (in Japanese of course) even now I still have it in MP3 format (several years ago I converted them from my old kept cassettes). Of course years passed by, I have no memory of ever spotting that jet.
