I respect your opinion, but I have to ask: "Why?". He is pretty big fan favorite, I don't think I've ever heard of someone not caring for him....
That said I do admit his character development is a little shallow...
Just curious,
I.P.
I don't care for him. The toy looks lame.
Are you sure that you even like Transformers?

Well, when you think about it, he's really less of a Transformer and more of a "Take pieces off and re-arrange them". But come on... he walks!
If I hadn't grown up with him being one of my favorite toys, I might not have an attachment to him either, but I do.

I need to finish off my Classics collection. Surprised no one has commented on how cool the repainted Megs looks (well compared to the funky colored version we had to get here in the US) I already have Grimlock but the Japanese version looks much cooler. I still need Bumblebee so I'll pick this one up.

I prefer the US release of Classics Megatron. It's how he has appeared in all of his media appearances to date.

So now I have to decide whether to sell off my old complete (electronics not working) Omega Supreme and get a spiffy new one, or just save my money ....

I would so love to get Omega but he's too much money for me. I went ahead and pre-ordered the minibots. I like that they don't charge your card till they ship, gives me a chance to minus out a little money here and there each paycheck to cover them by May. I hate being a poor transfan, there so many figs I end up having to pass up on, LOL.

My broken Omega has backup in the form of one of the other versions of him.
(Though i've never been able to work out which version exactly as it's like someone's combined parts from a number of the different releases and made a nice dark brown with red clips and chrome chest/missile pieces)

Just a quick question. Which series did you grow up watching? Obviously I started with G1 and I always wanted Omega Supreme. I was ecstatic when I finally got one this year and he didn't disappoint in the least.

So there is a chrome version of MechaBot-1? (He's sporting MB-1's stickers too)
When I first got him I could never find pics of him exactly. I could find pics of MB-1 without the chrome and pics of another version with the chrome and just put it down to someone combining the best of both versions.
Suppose I can post some pics when I get home.

Re: Omega Supreme ENCORE/Japanese Classics/Encore Minibots!
I'm so glad they are releasing again Omega Supreme ,and the minibot set too. Since I missed the Minibot set the first time. It is nice to be having Omega again after more than twenty years. The same goes for Skylynx. Which I'm antipating of getting in late February or early March of this year. I was wishing that Omega cost the same as SkyLynx. They both went for $39.99 back in the day. Damn Hasbro if they released them here it be more affordable. It would also save huge shipping costs on the old piggy bank.

Megatron- No.... US toy safety laws
Sky Lynx- NO... Takara doesn't own the mold
Omega Supreme- Better chance of Elvis coming back
SOundwave- The Mold is broken... NEVER
Predaking- Wasn't popular in Japan
hhhhhhmmmmm....... Can we officially put the "So and So will never be reissued" lists to rest now? It seems like anything can happen! wwwwwwwooooooo!!!!!!!!!
(still waiting on Wheeljack and Grimlock thou)
Not to pick on you but I don't know where you got your list as it is inaccurate.
In your defense, a lot of people did think Skylynx and Omega would not be reissued as their molds had come from Toybox. However, with Toybox being out of business and Skylynx being reissued, we all knew Omega Sepreme was coming up next.
Actually the list is:
Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Mirage due to broken molds, the Dinobots due to lost molds, Shockwave, Roadbuster, Whirl, the Deluxe Insecticons and Jetfire due to licensing issues.
Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Mirage and the Dinobots will only be reissued if Takara sees it as profitable to make brand new molds, which seems unlikely.
Jetfire was licensed from Bandai, and well, Bandai isn't about to let a main competitor use another of their licences again.
Shockwave was lic. from Toyco, once again, a competitor and well, see above.
Roadbuster, Whirl and the Deluxe Insecticons. I actually do not know who owns those lic. However, I don't think any of these would be popular enough for Takara or myself to follow up on.
So in a nutshell, theres 10 that we want, but will probably never see. However, I really hope TakaraTomy proves me very wrong.
Oh, and WTG with OS Takara!!!
Though, I wish they hadn't wasted their time with the minibot set which is kinda lame and had instead forged forwards and done the rest of the seekers that never made the original mainstream reissue list from Takara or Hasbro.

Hmm, I might change my mind when I see them in person. However, Megs and Grimlock seem like the only ones worth picking up. Prime, SS and BB look decidely worse to me than the US releases, while the rest look pretty much the same.
