I'm looking at ordering something from the Maketoys online shop but want to know if it's safe. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask it, but has anyone ordered from their shop? If so, how was your buying experience? Thank you!

DO NOT listen to the guy above me. BBTS is expensive as balls and you're screwed if you are outside the USA.

It's the MAKETOYS shop. The shop of the very ones who create and manufacture the toys. Asking if they are safe is like asking if Hasbro Toy Shop is safe.

I ordered from the Maketoys store twice already and every single time, the toys arried quickly, safely, and WITHOUT any custom fees. Plus, the quality of their stuff is amazing. Also, when you check out, you have the option to "pay more for shipping" and have some boxless extras for some ridiculous prices. Like the YOTS Omega Supreme upgrade kit for 20$ instead of 120$. Finally, they have some great sales right now.

And even if you are American, the only reason to buy Maketoys stuff from BBTS should only be if it's stuff at regular price that will be part of your pile of loot for convenience. That's it. However, for the sales and the extra "secret" shipping deals at checkout, you deal with Maketoys themselves.

Best example is Despotron is on pre-order at BBTS for 147$:
