Well we had a snow day today...so the girls were in all their glory running around the yard playing, rolling around in and eating the snow...it's fun to watch them try to catch snow flakes or try to decide which ones to chase...

So true. Sometimes I think about how bad it is going to hit my wife and I when our little guy passes away, but then he pushes his little tennis ball at me and we play. He has given us so much, and I will always be thankful and grateful that he has been part of our little family.

absolutely. we're jumping right back in the pool. knowing they wont be around forever shouldnt wont stop us from welcoming another pup to our home (soon)!

I lost a grey lop-eared rabbit last year. Ol' Roy. I rescued him from some unsavory folks when I lived in Chicago who were feeding him cat food and probably crack smoke. He weighed 1 and a 1/2 lbs and was about 70% bald. Got him back to health quick. Ended up 5 lbs (that's big for a coney) with a beautiful silver coat. He was fantastically litter trained and very trust worthy about chewing. His hutch door was never closed.
He lived out his days fat, happy , and hoppy. to the ripe age of 11 (really good for a rabbit) One of the best pets I've ever known. He passed happy and quietly of old age. I still want to do something romantic with his ashes, but every time I look at his lil' urn on the mantel, I just can't let him go.

But I have more friends too.

Compared to Blaster, she is a dainty little dame. I swear here paws are the size of nickles. What she lacks in size she makes up in F-youitude.
she has a neat back story. She is a Frank Loyd Wright barn cat. In Spring Green Wisconson is F.L.W's personal retreat and experimental homestead called Taliesin. It is now a museum and school. She came from a litter born in the barn there, from a friend who works there. She is as graceful as Wrights designs.

I currently live in a 425 square foot studio with my wife. I love animals, but we don't really have room for pets. However, I have convinced my wife that we will, space permitting, have 2 cats one day.
