I had a hard time to take my picture with the lions... My cat kept running in the room and stealing one of Ramulus' arms. I thought it was kind of funny.

*snickers* That is funny, specially considering you have Ramulus being eaten by what are basically big cats.

It's a Kiss Player's Rodimus: Syao syao. I know I should have used a barbie, but I want to keep it Transfomer related, fits the scale size I think.

No offense, but I think you should worry about content rather than angle, Dave. Remember that the topic is history!

He is right MegaDave... Your entry won't be counting for the prizes. You'll have to remember that the theme is history. You know, history that actually happend.. and a dragon is pretty hard to believe.

We have moved the deadline for this contest. This means that you will be able to post your entries untill next Friday: March 16th

Reason for the different deadline is the lack of entries so far.

I also wanted to announce the following: This will be my last Photocontest as a judge. The same probably goes for Diablocon. The both of us haven't really had any time and this will continue in the future. Personally I loved to do this, but frankly I don;t have the time and I have lost my interest. Probably also because there are very little entries since 2 or 3 Photocontests.

Maybe there are any others who wish to continue the Photocontest. If so, please continue. You can PM me about this so that I can tell the rest of the staff about it.

Actually Megadave's dragon being slain is supposed to have happened in history. I can concure with that and I feel that his entry is valid. As valid as the christians being fed to lions.

I will look up the details further, but I feel St. george killing/fighting a dragon is valid. If the lions are valid so is george.

Damb the contest has ended, just as I thought of a good historical moment to do. It's moment in history that hasn't happened yet, and inspired by Nicklebacks newest hit. The Day Nobody Died. I was going to have Primus and Unicron in the back shaking hands with all the Primes and Megatrons lined up in front of them doing the same, representing all the worlds governments. With a lot of other major characters from the different series cheering, dancing, hugging represent the people of Earth. Ah, just thinking about is so moving. :D

Perhaps if the Photocontest was stickied in the News or had its own Feature Spotlight section on the front page until the contest ended, more people would know about it and there would be more entries.

I know I've said this before, but it just bugs me when I hear that people aren't pleased with the lack of entries.

I'm not complaining, just curious.

How many entries should there be before the Photocontest is considered "a success?"

I hope you're not asking me, since I didn't say anything about 'successful Photocontests.' I'm just saying that there would be more participation if the Contests were better advertised (for lack of a better word).

This is exactly what I was talking about. Only those who know this thread exists and actively read it are going to know that the contest has been extended.

Please, Photocontest staff, there has to be a better way to advertise the Photocontests! Stickifying it in the News, putting it in a Spotlight on the front page, etc. I know you're getting tired of me saying this (and I'm getting tired of posting this), but if more people are going to enter, something has to be done to spread the word.

Yes, we know, and we are working on it. We've got a Mod helping us out and we are working out how to better advertise the photocontest in all forums on the site. As well as the News real on the front page and a sticky item there too. Hopefully the next one will be more widely promoted and seen.

We are beginning the judging phase for this one now. we'll Post the results, as soon as we are done.

To be honest, despite my love of history, I couldnt think of anything clever for this contest. In the past ive had the ideas, I just havent had the decent camera, nor the time, to make entries.
