This is Moon. The most ridiculous official Transforming TF toy I have ever seen. But these two are giving it some competition.

I thought they looked familiar, but I couldn't place the orange and blue. Now that's thinking outside the box.

And I have some of those sets!

Especially if Blitzwing is an homage to Flywheels. Does that guy have the same combining gimmick?

Machtackle is really two separate Micromasters named Mach and Tackle who, while having their own individual vehicle and robot modes each, combine Energon Autobot style to form Machtackle (or Tacklemach, depending on who form the toy and who forms the pants).Cobotron wrote:Well, Will, I would buy that! Yes and no. MachTackle is part of the MultiForce from Victory, and can be considered a forerunner of the Energon Powerlinx figures. Mach and Tackle each have a Vehicle Mode and Robot Mode, and can from the top or bottom of a combined form.
Flywheels is a Duocon, which means he splits into two different vehicles, without individual Robot Modes. He has a spring-loaded transformation which is triggered when the jet is attached to the tank.
In the cartoons they do function the same way, as the MultiForce members are almost always shown combined in pairs. There is one instance in which a pair is shown in separated robot modes, and even switch places when they recombined.

The robot from Victory (with all the wild colors) is indeed formed by combining the two smaller vehicles. The only diference between him and flywheels is that Mach Tackle's two alt modes (the truck and the shuttle) do turn into individual robots. But still, the fact that both triple changers are representing two sperate alt modes that do combine to form a robot that is a combination of the two would make sense, expecially since the colors are very similar.
So guys, you think we solved it?

At the very least, we have a strong possibility of an homage, but in colors only. Or a very happy accident.
