I've always been trying to find a policecar transformer, luckily I just recently bought a DOTM Barricade mechtech figure. but I really want to find an auotbot police car to. something like Prowl. I'm pretty sure there have been a few police car molds for him.

As for a Firetruck. I know Inferno is usally one of them but I've never been able to get one.
I have a simple question that I hope someone can answer.

Is cybertron leader class optimus prime really a firetruck? and is Energon deluxe class prowl (who i don't have anymore) actually a police car? even when his vehicle form looks more like a indy style race car? I'm sure the one I had was blue with japenese letters and it had the word police on it somewhere. but maybe it was meant to be a pace car? I'd like to know the names of any firetrucks or police cars so I can find them. I'd most like the deluxe class.

Edit... OK i just found an image of energon prowl... turns out he really is a police car!
and my optimus prime sure looks like a firetruck but leaders are to big (and expensive!) for my taste.... I don't have a clue how I can find other police and fire robots if I don't know the names. but I have an awsome idea for a new stopmotion video and I would realy like to find more robots of this type. I kind of want to do a TF police pursuit as a video.

Police Car or Firetrucks in a deluxe size class eh? Well, there haven't been all that many in the past few years, but I'll start with a couple older guys.

Headmaster Jr. Siren from G1. His Japanese counterpart looks better, but is probably expensive:

While anything G1 can go high, you might luck into these guys at a yard sale or something.

For consistency's sake(she's supposed to be expensive) another Headmaster Jr., from Japan, Minerva:

Have you considered Dark Of The Moon Crankcase? He's a police S.U.V.:

While probably bigger than a deluxe(sorry, don't have this one), there's also Armada Red Alert:

Again for the record, and these guys may prove expensive, there was an old K-Mart exclusive two-pack repaint of Energon Rodimus and Prowl into Checkpoint and...Prowl:

All the Animated Earth-bound Autobots had rescue alt. modes. For the record, this pic has Leader Bulkhead and I think Voyager Prime.:

Prowl also has a nifty Samurai upgrade(I know, it's a motecycle, but it's cool.):

Also, you mentioned Prowl having several molds. He does yes, and did have a deluxe Classics 2.0 release(not sure if you are aware of this, listing just in case):

Erm…DOTM Sentinel Prime? Voyager, Leader, and Cyberverse Commander figures are fairly easy to come by now.

He's a Cybertronian fire truck. Robots in Disguise Prime is a fire truck with a more recognizable alt mode.

Universe Deluxe Prowl is the obvious choice. You may be able to get one loose off eBay without paying too much.

RiD Optimus Prime also comes in Titanium, which would probably be a wee bit cheaper than the actual RiD version. This Titanium Prime was also repainted as Hot Zone (nee Hot Spot) from the Protectobots, who is a blue firetruck, if that's your thing.

Also if you don't mind having a Decepticon firetruck, Power Core Combiners Smolder could be right up your alley. He's a scout class so he's very inexpensive, plus he has a nifty minicon partner to sweeten the deal!

I would NOT recommend Universe 2.0 Prowl. The white paint on mine looks like I ran the guy through the dirt. I think it's something done witht he transparent windows.

Does the Henkei version of the guy suffer the same problems?

If we're talking police cars, Premium Baracade is my favorite by far. The robot mode isn't so great, but I love that vehicle mode. Much betetr than the RotF one.

Nice thing about these is that they have weapon modes as well as alt and robot.

This is great! so it seems there are alot more then I first thought! If I get the chance I think I'll try to get ahold of some of them. hopfully i can get a replacemnt for the energon prowl i used to have. unfortunatly I've never used Ebay. and I think Amazon would probally have to high a price because thats what they do.

Most listed in the pics were G1... which are gonna get ridiculously expensive if your trying to find some complete. Since they are g1, they also arnt that great for animating...

O there's a lot more where that came from, mostly smaller guys:

Stakeout (Police Car) and Red Hot (Fire Engine). Even has an Ambulance called Fixit and an unrelated boat called Seawatch

The second set of smaller emergency vehicles: Prowl (aka Road Police), Red Alert (aka Discharge) and First Aid (aka Sireen). The could combine into Defensor (aka Sixturbo) with some added pieces.

One that's always forgotten is Spychanger Prowl 2. No galleries of him or his repaints at the moment, but here are some links:
